"OW!" I yelled as Rick pushed me onto the floor. This happened nearly every day. And every time no-one stood up for me. Well, almost no-one. There is one person. A girl named Katie. Or, at least there was one person. She moved house and that meant she had to move schools. I'm completely alone now.
"No Katie to save you anymore, Daniel!" laughed Rick. I remained silent. What could I do? Even if I did stick up for myself, that would only make things worse. With a sigh,I got up and walked off, the sound of Rick's laughter ringing in my ears.
I arrived at home and, as usual, my mum asked how my day had been. I lied that it had been good. I didn't want them to worry about me. After taking off my coat and shoes, I immediately grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper and began to doodle. Soon, the whole sheet was full of drawings of foxes, wolves, lions and much more, even some things that don't exist. I doodled until 8:00pm, my bedtime. Or at least, it's meant to be my bedtime. I usually stay up much longer than I should on my phone.
I yawned. It was 11:47pm and I was still on my phone. Finally, after scrolling through a few more YouTube shorts, I finally put the phone down and attempted to sleep. It took a while, considering I couldn't stop thinking about Rick, but by midnight I was finally asleep.
