Lily Potter

The first thing I heard in the morning was someone banging at my door, which is very unpleasant.

"Lily Potter! You have exactly 30 minutes to get up and get ready before Minerva arrive!"

"Huh what!?" I jumped out of bed and went through my closet to find something that is clean. I got dressed and slipped on a necklace before pulling my hair - which is frizzy and I hate it - in a ponytail. I scrambled to shove the rest of my clothes as well as belongings in my trunk - and I regret having waited for the last minute before packing it because now I, am, panicking - before grabbing my bag where my wand rest there, unaware of the chaos outside, before dragging all my stuff down to the common hall.

Well, trying.

Somehow my trunk got stuck at the staircase and, in my moment of panic, I tried to force it through by pushing and well, it worked but because I was leaning on it, so I fell with it. Down the stairs.

Got to say, it hurts. But I don't think anything's broken. I think.

As I landed at the end of the stairs, I grimaced while massaging my knees and legs and with my trunk in one hand, I hopped towards the common hall. I was pulling my trunk from behind, so it was bumping on the floor and I grimaced again, because it would surely leave a mark but I was in a hurry.

"Miss Potter, here is your lunch for the train ride. Minerva will be here any time dear." Mrs. Adams, our cook, handed me a ham sandwich and carrots.

"Ah thank you Mrs. Adams."

I took the food packages and slipped it in my bag before sitting down, waiting for Minerva to arrive. I am surprised, actually, that I was able to pack my trunk, get ready, take my trunk downstairs, fall down the stairs, and dragging my luggage to the common hall all that within half an hour. Either Mrs. Addams lied to get me to hurry up, or I'm just really really lucky that Minerva is late. But she doesn't seem to be the type to be late, so I don't know...

"Ah, Miss Potter! Come, come dear. Grab my arm, if you will?" Minerva suddenly came in, before lifting her arm for me to take. I barely had time to understand what was happening as I touched her arm before we were now standing on a train platform that said 9 and 3/4.

9 and 3/4? I wrinkled my nose.

"Now, listen closely. You'll have to go on the train and find your compartment. Don't forget to change into your robe before you arrived at Hogwarts. Do I make myself clear?"

"Crystal." I replied, looking around in curiosity.

"Well, I'll see you there dear." She waved her wand and the next second, she's gone.

"Alrightttt... So, got to find a compartment, changed into my robe and that's all? Huh, maybe make some friends too." I muttered under my breath, before walking towards the train with my luggages.

I passed by a huge family of red heads and their mum hugging them and kissing the tops of their heads.

Somehow my heart felt bitter, but I just gritted my teeth before tearing my eyes way from them. Away from the family I could had. Away from a family I would never get. Away from a perfect family full of love and warmth. But my heart sank only lower as I glanced at them, one more time, just to see if they're still there. If they're real.

I climbed onto the train and laid my trunk at the area reserved for it before walking down the hallway to find an empty compartment. After a while, I finally found one that was empty. I plopped down on a seat, pulled out my book before starting to read. It didn't last for long - my reading time I mean - before a pair of girls opened the door.
