The usual walk down to the store for dinner wasn't anything new. still board, still long, and still had the freak following us. you would think that having so many people calling him in the cops would take him in but they don't. by the time we reached the store the guy in the van was no were in sight. cool with me if he isn't here then i don't have to worry....as much.
We walked in and grabbed the typical bowl of plane white rice, some veggy. mix thing, and a bag of chips. we payed for what we had and the guy behind the counter his name is Charlie too. he had a thing for my sister for a while but after she told him that if he didn't leave her alone she would find a shovel, he didn't talk much after that....okay so maybe i told him that but still my point is that he doesn't like her any more!
As we started to walk out i realized we hadn't grabbed anything to drink. out of the two of us you would think we would remember drinks. anyways. she just shrugged it off and asked me to get her something. she said it was hot inside so she wanted to wait for me out side the door. it didn't shock me because she had been getting random hot flashes for a while so no big deal.
I walked back and got her a Mnt. dew and i, a brisk. i walked up to Charlie and he scanned everything and i paid. i walked out the front door and she was no were to be seen. i yelled for her a few times before i started to panic thinking maybe she is just playing with me or walked over to talk to someone. she wasn't.
I ran back in and told Charlie to show me the camera's. he hesitated at first but then realized i was in a panic. he walked me to the office to the side of the building and asked what time i needed to see. he brought it up and i stared intensely at the screen hoping she just walked away or something.
He took her. the creep in the van drove up and took her. he pointed the gun at her and told her to get in. and she did. she glanced back at the camera with tears stretched down her face. i just stood there in fear and terror. i began to shake uncontrollably and Charlie was frozen. he snapped back to reality and called 911 and my parents. he even called Arron. Arron has been like our older brother. i don't even remember how we met him but he was there for us when our parents wern't.
Arron came down before my parents even made it there. he walked in and he grabbed my shoulders and i just collapsed to the floor like a heep of hay in his arms. crying and screaming and blaming my self for what had just happened. i cant tell you how hard it is to watch your only sister get taken and cant do a damn thing about it.
My parents finally showed up and my mother was so shooken up over it she just curled up in my fathers arms, and he couldn't even look me in the eye. like somehow i was the disappointment of the whole world. like i wanted this to happen to her. he always favorited her and i knew that he was never proud but i cant shake the look on his face out of my head.
I went home with Arron. it was a long ride over to his place even though he lived closer then we did but it felt like it took years to get there. quite. helpless. i didn't know what to say at that point. i eventually tried to start up a few conversations just as a distraction but he would just look at me with his tear filled eyes then went back to staring off into space again. i cant blame him. he is in the same situation as me. he watched his little sister get taken and couldn't do a thing about it.
