Phoenix slowly opening her eyes, Mags doing the same.

Phoenix moved her arm a little bit and she immediately gasped in pain.

¨Hey-¨ Mags said but fell as she felt a sudden pain rush through her.

¨Mags! Dont move!¨ She got up, ignoring the pain and shuffled over to Mags.

¨Owww...¨ Mags groaned in pain 

Phoenix got lost in thought, she was just staring at nothing.

¨Why does it hurt to move..¨ Mags said.

Phoenixes expression changed to an angered one.

¨Ow¨ Mags said once again.

Phoenixes wings started to radiate heat as small flames started to come from them, the flames getting even bigger every second.

¨They...They...They did this to us...we are not even human anymore...They knew we would be in this pain.¨ She mumbled.

¨Phoenix¨ Mags tried to get Phoenixes attention.

The flames from her wings became bigger as smoke started to come out of her tail, slowly filling the room.

¨Phoenix!¨ Mags shouted. ¨What?!!¨ Phoenix yelled as she looked back at Mags with tears streaming down her face.

¨Your wings...They werent able to do that before.¨ Mags said.

Phoenix looked back at her wings and gasped.

Phoenix touched her wings and nothing happened. ( Her fire is able to burn everyone except her, other fire burns her though )

¨Hmmm...¨ Mags said then she feel through the floor. ¨AHH!!¨

¨Mags!¨ Phoenix yelled.

Mags poked her head through the floor ¨Ow.¨ She  complained.

Phoenix started to notice the smoke in the room when Mags started to cough.

The fire alarm went off as four men burst through the door. ¨Whats going on in here!?¨ One of them said.

Mags started to cough harder as Phoenix got into a fighting stance.

One of the men flipped a switch and all added parts felt fake and their abilities' didn't work anymore.

¨AHHH!!¨ Mags screamed, being trapped in the god damn floor.

¨Mags!!¨ Phoenix exclaimed 

¨God damn it! Let me at least get out of the floor!¨ Mags yelled at the four men.

While Mags was busy screaming at the men, Phoenix curled up in a corner.

¨AHHHHGGG¨ Mags screamed.

¨You need to tell your little friend to not do that again¨ One of the men said.

¨Ugh let me out!!¨ Mags screamed ignoring them.

¨Fuck off!!¨ Phoenix screamed.

¨Fine fine¨ The one with the switch  flipped the switch again and the added parts sprang back to life and the abilities worked just as fine.

Mags climbed out of the floor as though she was crawling out of a pool.

¨That hurt!!!¨ Mags yelled at the men.

¨Dont do that again.¨ The man warned, then they left, leaving Mags and Phoenix alone yet again.

¨Ow now I even hurt more...¨ Mags complained.

¨I cant control it..¨ Phoenix murmured.

¨Just, calm down...come,lets just sleep for now.¨ Mags said attempting to calm down Phoenix.

Phoenix shook her head then said ¨ What if it happens again?! What if I burn you!¨ Phoenix started to overthink.

¨hey! hey! its fine. If you burn me, it will heal after time.¨ Mags said reassured Phoenix.

¨No! No! No! No! No! No!¨ Phoenix panicked as she wrapped her wings and tail around herself.

¨Yes! Its fine.¨ Mags said.

¨Look. lets just sleep and think happy thoughts. Okay? happy thoughts..¨Mags soothed.

¨I have no happy thoughts Mags..my life was a little hell.¨ Phoenix responded with some anger in her voice.

¨Well..Think of me then.¨ Mags said.

Phoenixes face flushed pink as she looked away from Mags.

Mags noticed and realized what she had said and turned as red as a tomato.

¨I- Uhm...I-¨ Phoenix stuttered for she couldnt find the words.

¨W-well, I know you like my company, and.. Look! Your my best friend! ugh! just- ugh..¨Mags said.

Phoenix covered her face with her wings.

¨Ugh! sorry! just- ugh.. what do I say here.. just- just think about the things we've done! its the only happy thing you know, right?¨ Mags explained.

Phoenix wrapped her tail around Mags waist and pulled her towards her, she moved her wings and hugged Mags. Mags was still flustered but returned the hug anyways.

Phoenix wings got warm as she hugged Mags, showing no signs of letting go anytime soon.

¨Okay, lets just go to sleep¨ Mags said.

Phoenix only groaned and hugged Mags tighter.

¨Lets sleep..¨ Mags said quietly as she moved Phoenix to the ground, falling asleep. Phoenix doing the same shortly after.
