The first meeting

  October 17th 2021, Celia stayed late to try and get her 400 meter sprint perfect for the track race the school were holding in a couple days. While on the opposite side of the field, Chad Meeks Martin was on the football team that night as the team had a game tomorrow, his teammates were either talking about football or their latest hook-up. But the Martin boy was distracted by the girl in the distance to be listening to their typical jock stuff. It was as if he saw an angel he could barely see her face from the light rain and the dark but from what he could make out she was beautiful. "Yo? Chad you still with us?" One of his teammates asked him as they waved their hand in front of his face "Yep, sorry. What were you saying?" The Martin boy asked as he rubbed his hand on the back of his neck.

While the Riley girl was catching her breath before going for it again when something or more like somebody caught her eye. She could see his face perfectly thanks to the lights being brand new on the football field. She could already tell if she met his eyes she'd get lost in them. There was sweat dripping down his forehead, his hair wet from the rain and muddy from being tackled a couple times.

The lights of the running track turned off making Celia groan in annoyance "oh come on" she said to herself grabbing her water bottle before heading to the changing rooms. She showered and got changed into something clean but she couldn't think properly all she was thinking about was him. And the worst part was she didn't even know his name.

Her phone buzzed making her jump when she saw the call notification from 'Pinkie pie🦄💕' aka Liv McKenzie one of her best friends.
"Hey Liv. What's up?" She asked while sticking her phone on speaker "Are you busy tonight?" Liv asked her friend "Uh no I don't think so?" The Riley girl answered confused "Well Amber Freeman she's in our english but shes throwing a party tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me? pleaseee" The McKenzie girl begged her best friend "Well since you asked so nicely sure. Be at my house in-" She looked down at her watch "an hour" she told the McKenzie girl "see you in an hour loser" Liv said laughing "See you later asshole" Celia told her as she hung up laughing.

She picked up her bag and started walking out of the girls changing rooms when she was met with a hard chest to her face "Oh shit I'm sorry" the person she bumped into grabbed her arms to steaded the girl "Nope, sorry all my fault I should of been watching where I was going" She said to the person "Nope it not your fault I was running and I should of guessed someone would come out" He looked down at the girl he saw earlier "It was my fault and that's the end" She said smiling as she looked up and saw he was the guy from earlier, making them both hold eye contact for what felt like eternity till the Martin boy broke the eye contact "Well I'll let you get going you seemed in a rush" he told her letting go of her arms "Well thanks for catching me. See you around" She said waving and walking off.

When she got to her car she mentally wanted to die "SEE YOU AROUND? WHO SAYS THAT!!" she yelled at herself put her head on the wheel and banging her head against it.

"Jesus Chad you could of had some balls to at least ask her for her name or if you had a confidence boost her number dumbass " he told himself pulling his shirt over his head. "Wait she could still be outside" he practically shoved his shoes on not bothering to tie the laces and swinging his bag over his head and sprinting to the car park. "Yo is chad ok?" One of the teammates asked the other "Probably? Maybe he's got takeout waiting for him at home? Cause bro was running like his life was on the line" The other said.

Celia was about to start her car when she saw someone run behind her "shit" she says slamming on the breaks. The person she almost hit knocks her window, she rolls down the window not bothering to look at the person "Sorry" she mumbled "it's fine, my fault this time" she recognised the voice and looked up and she was met with these perfect chocolate brown eyes "maybe you should check boths ways before running across a car park" she told him smiling "maybe you should check behind you before reversing" chad told her smirking making her face go red from embarrassment. "I never caught your name or are you just gonna be the guy who somehow keeps bumping into me" she asked him "I'm Chad. I never caught yours either or are you gonna be the mystery girl who tried to run me over?" He asked her smiling "I'm Celia" she told him smiling looking in his beautiful eyes "Are you going to the party tonight?" She asked him out of the blue. He wasn't going to go as parties aren't really his thing "Yeah I'm going. Are you going?" He told her looking into her eyes "Yeah I'm going" She told the Martin boy "Well I guess I'll probably see you there" He said pointing at her with a sneaky wink. She laughed at his way of trying to flirt "Well I'll see you later then Chad" She smiled at him using his winking tactic while driving off leaving him there smiling and going red in the face like he was back in middle school and she drove off giggling and kicking her feet like a little kid.
