A FEW WEEKS LATER

A few weeks following that night in their New York hotel room, Amelia and Kai along with the Chelsea teammates returned to Cobham to train ahead of their new premier league campaign. "Here we are for another season." Amelia laughs as she and Kai walk hand in hand towards the main doors. "Yeah. But, we'll be okay." Kai smiles as Amelia looks up at him and they peck lips. His kisses were the one thing that made Amelia feel good on a morning after feeling ill.

The girl couldn't figure out why or what was making her feel ill. She would throw up on the morning but be fine by the afternoon. But, just a kiss or two from Kai made the brunette brit feel that little bit better. "Right, come on. We have training." Kai says as he opens the door and holds it for Amelia. The english girl smiles as she walks in before the german boy follows behind as they head to the changing room.

"Here we are. New season, same shit." Amelia laughs, letting the others aware of her presence. "Yeah. But, atleast we're still together." Ben chuckles as Amelia nods. As conversations fill the room, a feeling of uneasy rises on the pit of the girl's stomach. She pushes it down and grabs a bottle of water from her bag before taking a sip.

"Right guys," Tuchel's voice could be heard as he enters the room. "Welcome back. New season, obviously there's one or two new faces. But, the same hard work and we'll have a great season. Okay, outside. Lets go." the manager concludes before the team head outside. "You never take a bottle of water outside. You usually rely on the bottle guys. Feeling okay, lia?" Marcus asks as the girl turns to him and nods. "Yep. Just warm." the girl smiles.

The end of july heat immediately hit the group as they walked outside from a cool, air conditioned room. "Crap. Why's it so warm?" Mason asks as the group walk out. "Maybe because it's July and we're in London." Kepa nudges the midfielder. "Wow, I never realized that." the Portsmouth boy laughs and rolls his eyes.

A few of the lads walk ahead as Amelia daudles behind the team, her mind clouded with many thoughts. "Lia, you okay?" the voice of César Azpilicueta pulls her back to reality. "Mhm, yeah. I'm okay." Amelia smiles, the queasy feeling not going. "Are you sure you look pale?" César asks genuinely concerned, standing infront of the girl preventing her from walking any further forward. "I'm f-" Amelia starts before the uneasy and nauseous feeling rises and she runs back inside and to the toilet. "Amelia?" César calls her name, chasing after the girl.

Entering the bathroom, the sound of a woman throwing up fills the silent room. "Amelia?" César calls the girls name again as he approaches the cubicle the girl was in. Slowly opening the door, the captain find the girl with her head over the toilet seat with an arm draped around it. "Jeez, Amelia. Are you sure, you're okay?" César asks the girl as he crouches behind her and rubs her back. She nods before throwing up again.

César rubs her back until the brown-eyed girl stops throwing up. "How are you feeling?" the captain asks the girl as she flushes the toilet and he helps her stand up. "A bit better. That was needed." Amelia says as she heads over to the sink and washes her mouth and hands. "Lia, can you be honest with me?" César asks and the girl turns to him with a smile and nods. "Have you been feeling ill long or is this just a one off?" the Spaniard asks as the girl bites her lip. "I-I dunno. A few days maybe, a week max." Amelia stutters.

"Could you maybe have a stomach bug?" César asks the girl who shrugs. "I have no clue." Amelia says as she leans against the sink. "How about you go home and see how you feel tomorrow? You're too ill to be here today." César suggests and Amelia nods, agreeing with the idea. "Okay. I'll go let Tuchel know while you get your things together. Did you come alone or with Kai?" César asks as the pair walk out the bathroom. "I came with Kai but I can get Paula to pick me up if she isn't busy." Amelia says. "Alright. I'll message you later to see how you're feeling and I'll see you tomorrow." César says as he gives Amelia a hug which she didn't know she needed.
