Ever since she was a little girl, Kate always wanted to be a princess. To be treated as one, to be rich, to have gowns and precious power at her hands, and to have a certain Prince bowing down in front of her with a ring. And every day since she was the age of eight, she would bow down on her knees beside her window sill and wish up to the big moon and the stars that glittered around it. She would wish, and wish, and wish to one day become a princess. Not just any princess, but Princess Valentina Rosealine Violeta.
As a little girl, Kate enjoyed reading this one book called 'The Masquerade Ball'. It was her favorite fantasy and romance book as a kid, and it still was to this day. The book was about a princess and a prince who are sentenced to become engaged with one another. They face challenges and struggles while planning their parent's wishes, especially when they don't even love each other.
Katie was Optimus's charge, which she had later found out to be an honor. The two had met each other a bit after the Wheeljack copycat incident, which she had thought was slightly shocking that a mech could do that — shapeshift into someone. The two enjoyed each other's company, especially when Katie was the oldest human there, facing her hard days of college at the ripe age of 20, going to sweet 21.
Being a young adult was difficult, as well as being a leader. That's probably why Optimus and Katie match together so well. The two understood each other, and sometimes liked to slightly vent to one another. Though, it was mostly Katie doing the venting and Optimus doing the reassuring. It was not like neither of them minded, for they enjoyed each other's company.
One day, while Optimus scouts a possible but faint relic area alongside Katie — the relic called 'the wish giver' — they find it. When Katie, curious as she is, climbs off of Optimus's shoulder and approaches The Wish Giver, she touches it, accidentally activating the device. They are quickly blinded by a bright light, but when it dies down, what happens next surprises the both of them.
The two find themselves in a room, a bedroom to be exact. At first, Katie mistakes it to be her bedroom, but its not. Katie finds herself in a different body, as well as Optimus but in a new body. The two are separated, making Katie confused and anxious. Panicking, she rushes to the bathroom and instead of staring towards her old self, she stares at the perfect blonde Princess Valentina Rosealine Violets.
Slowly following the ways of the books, still confused and frightened, Katie finally meets the prince. The man looks exactly as he was described in the book — perfect, confident, chaste, and handsome.
Only, for she notices one thing that is different about him. His eyes. They were a cerulean blue, instead of the normal brown. When the two recognize each other, both know that it was their charges in a different body. Katie as the Princess and Optimus as the Prince.
Katie's and Optimus' quest is to finish the book exactly in order of how the story is told to escape the world she is now trapped in. What happens when she ends up falling for the Prince — which is magically Optimus Prime — and the plot of the book bends and goes out of order?

I, make Optimus Prime slightly confused and flustered whenever his maids or butlers are pestering him, or even other princesses and guests.
II, expression is key, especially when dealing with someone like Optimus Prime. Please make sure to get Optimus's correct and precise expressions and how he may react to most things
III, when Katie finds out that they are in the book, have Katie be the one leading and steering Optimus to the right paths. You can also make either her or Optimus mess up a bit, to give a little drama/plot twists
IIII, it is completely your choice if you think Katie should fall in love with Optimus in the end, or when they make it out of the book, should their friendship move a bit...further
IIIII, the book they're in is in royal/mediaeval time, so dresses are mostly what the ladies would be wearing while the men would be wear suits, etc. make sure to really put things like that into excessive detail (imagine this book similar to Princess and The Frog)
IIIIII, note that when Optimus and Katie go into the book, it's like time has stop in present. When they get out of the book, they are still in their present position and it's like they never left. It's your choice if you want them to tell the team what happened or not
