Packing my bags and looking around my room a tear fell to my eye I'm leaving Australia and moving to Manhattan. As i helped my dad pack the taxi i looked back at the house. "so much memory's" i said so much adventures. A new one is just beginning i thought to myself. As we arrived at the airport. We waited 3 hours and then we got on the airplane and headed to Manhattan.
It took 18 hours to get to Manhatten. I took in the New yorker smell. As we got to our appartment i looked around "im home" i then looked around a bit it had three bedrooms and one bathroom. I needed to unpack i put my earphones in my ears and cranked up my Ipod to the song New York by Alecia keys.
I began singing"New yorkkkkk thease streets will make you feel brand new" i sang looking out the window over central park. I look at a picture of my family :I miss you guys" i said a tear of sadness and happiness ran down my face. Before i knew it it was 10:30 i got into bed and fell asleep. The next morning i woke up at 6 am im to excited i said.
Just then there was a knock at the door i opened it. A girl about my age with shorts and a one direction t-shirt on. " Hi im Ally" she said in a bright voice. I introduced myself. "I live down the hall and go to east side" she said. "Cool im going to east side as well" i said cheerfully.' How about i give you a tour of Manhatten". My parents said it was alright. We court the subway to times square i span arond my eyes opened wide there were some street dancers there we watched them for a bit and then it started raining we started dancing and began laughing . "Times square i cant beleive it!!!!!" I couldent describe how i was feeling she then took me to see the satue of liberty.
We took a water taxi to the staue. When we got of the water taxi we began singing to my Ipod it was the song new york we began sing and laughing. We then got hungery so she took me to a near by starbucks. I had a chochlate coffee drink it was really nice. We then caugt a subway back to the apartment and i was amazed at New york this is my favorite place im speechless. We sat on the balcony licking a icypole. Ally began telling me about her family and how her dad left when she was very young.
She told me how her mum was very sick and had liver cancer. A tear fell to her eye. As the new school year came closer our friendsip grew stronger. Oneday i heard a knock on the door. It was ally she had a face full of tears "whats wrong?" i said "shes gone" ally said crying her heart out "whos gone" i asked. "My mum she past away this morning". I pulled her into my arms felling like i never wanted to let go we sat in my room both crying for 3 hours. Until my dad came in."i have somthing very inportant to tell u ally is going to be stay with us" "we need a mimiute" I said to my dad. what will happen next for our friendship?
