I was waiting for my friend Stella to come out of her apartment building so we could go together and grab Mateo's birthday cake.
"Why is she taking so long?" I whispered to myself as I checked the time. It was already ten! When did time pass so quickly. Unbelievable!
"Come on Stella, hurry up if you don't want to get our asses beaten by Daniel" I said to myself. It was true though. If we dared to be late my lovely brother would kill us without thinking it before twice. It was really important for him that everything would be perfect for the party.
Well, I don't blame him. I am always anxious about getting everything done on time when my besties have their birthdays.
The door of the Stella's apartment building finally opened erasing my thoughts and Stella came out wearing a beautiful flower dress, as always, her favorite, and some white heels. She was so pretty. Stella was always beautiful with her light skin and red hair and her freckles which made her look the cutest person in the world. When I was younger I was jealous of her because she always attracted more boys than me but I soon got over it.

"Hey" Stella greeted and huged me.
I huged her back and then yanked her by her hand.
"Come on, we have to hurry up if we want to live and not get killed by Daniel. You were extremely late!" I told her as we were walking on the pavement on our way to the pastry shop.
"Heyyy, relax" she answered and laughed. "How am I supposed to look that good and not take some time?" she asked and started laughing loud enough to earn some weird glances from random people walking on the pavement too.
"You better tell that to Daniel, so you can have a reason not to get murdered, not me." I said laughing too.
When we arrived at the pastry shop I pulled the door and we got inside hearing the bell which informed the workers that a customer just entered the shop.
