Chrissen was a good boy, very loyal to his friends and never breaking any rules. But he was against the laws being passed in his state, because they were forcing him to detransition, and he was desperate to get out. As a trans man, he had been taking hormones for only two months with his mother's permission, behind his father's back. When his voice started getting deeper, his father noticed, and was filled with an unhealthy rage. He kicked the boy out, and he had to go live with his more accepting aunt in secret.
With a new school, and a new home life, he has to adjust, all the while getting in touch with his spirituality with the help of his aunt.
