jameson (jame-eh-son)

interviewer's perspective...

fredo welcomed me to a beautiful flat in the suburbs of london.

as soon as i walked in, i smelled herbal scents. the rapped led me past a short woman playing with two small children in a living room. she looked up at me and smiled gracefully. i smiled back. we entered a private balcony covered by false grass and a set of chairs surrounding a large glass table. i spotted dolls and toy trucks around a play area in the corner.

interviewer: "this is the santa clara podcast and we are here with fredo, or as the roads call him fred. i'll cut right to the chase, where have you been lately?"

fredo: "i've been chillin. i used ta be the maddest ting' inna avenues but i hadda evolve, ya know."

interviewer: "and ya new girl jameson has played a role, innit?"

fredo: "yeah. we got married this past february. her and my kids are really my most favorite people... that i uhh... have in my life right now." he said lowly.

interviewer: "interesting! how had life been since the wedding. i know that honeymoon phase should still be goin' pretty strong still."

he smiled, seeming to be reminiscing on past events. seemingly, my statement sparked his memory on something.

fredo: "yeah, it is. me and jameson actually," he seemed to be opening up more and more with every questioned, "planned it together. i never thought i'd be one to turn into mush ova the small little details but i think that the switch was almost automatic."

interviewer: "i know your kids are still pretty young. how's the adjust into fatherhood? what are your kids names?"

fredo: "a boy and a girl, kai and jennifer. fatherhood is really... complicated. there's a lot of backpedaling like i hadda really reflect on myself, ya know."

interviewer: "so would you say that your wife and children have changed you?"

fredo: "most definitely. especially my wife honestly... she took me off the roads. a lotta people can't do that"

tap, tap!

a little girl looking to be about two years old began tapping on the glass door separating us from the inside of the house. i presume this is jennifer.

jameson came from behind and picked her up. while opening the class door, "fred, jennifer missed you." she began. i looked at my watch noticing that around thirty minutes had passed. fredo hopped up to be at jameson's aid. kai came from behind and grabbed onto fredo's leg.

"welp, i guess that's my cue." i showed myself to the door and left the happy family behind.
