yukio "kio" zyde montero is an atenean, med student and a varsity player in his university, he has a brother and a sister named kiro and kiara, both of his parents are doctors.

kio has a rude and insensitive parents, they're abusive, violent, manipulative, and very horrible which made him treat every club or bar his home, he only drink his problems thinking that when he woke up after drinking the problem will be gone but he's wrong.

one night, after arguing with his parents he went to the club and got drunk, he asked his friends, pol, laxus and primo to give him random numbers which is he dialed it and called someone, the person on the other line answered it and kio vent his problems to that person who he drunk called and he was adviced and comforted by that person.

it was another season for uaap when he bumped into a guy from dlsu, he let the guy borrow his jacket because the ketchup that the dlsu guy eating from his food accidentally spilled on his shirt.

because of kio's popularity people in dlsu and ateneo thought that kio and the guy from dlsu are dating which is isaiah "sai" gavin devera who is a journalist and an architect student in dlsu.

kio used to talk with this guy everyday who's he drunk called, he was attached by the guy's kindness, patience and being supportive to him, he even call him "haven" and wanted to meet haven in person.

one afternoon while kio was drinking alone in a store, sai saw him and decided to talk to him for a while, they're talking random things and kio didn't realize that he's sharing about haven to sai without knowing that sai and haven is one person.

when kio found out that sai and haven are one person they often go out together and didn't realized that they're slowly falling inlove to each other.

they've been a very romantic and happy couple after kio courting sai for 1 year.

but the world is cruel and against about their love for each other. one day, kio got worried and confuse because sai is not calling or texting him anymore, they don't see each other often just how it was before. but instead of doubting sai, kio's love and trust still didn't fade.

they often fought because they don't have time for each other, whenever kio is asking sai if there's something wrong he wouldn't answer it or give him another reason.

because the truth is sai has to marry the daughter of his dad's friend in order to pay the hospitalization and opera for his dad's friend and for his daughter to have a share on sai's family company because the company of the friend is slowly going down.

sai and his future wife didn't want to be married to each other so they made a plan, they did a part time job to a wedding dress store and the moment they will earn enough money for the friend's expenses sai will explain and fix everything with kio and to end the engagement with his dad's friend.

one day, kio and his family traveled to an island for his parent's medical mission.

kio promised to sai that he will go home after the medical mission but the world is getting crueler.

kio and his parents fought because he didn't obey his parents order, they fought to the point that his father is being abusive to him, he would punch and hit kio with a thick type of wood, that night is filled with cruelty, he was hopeless and broken and he had no shoulders to cry on and it made him feel more  hopless, unspecial and unloved when his own mother disowned him that night.

he was so broken in that night to the point that he jump into the ocean and give up his breath and life to that calming and cold water.

in the end, sai always feel very sorry, regret and terrible for losing kio. kio's parents got arrested for being a horrible parents that was reported by their own children, kiro and kiara. as days pass by, sai recovered and accepted everything while kio is now happy and free.
