As they were almost at the edge of the continent, Aether and Venti heard the sounds of the Fatui closing in on them. They knew that they had to think fast, that they had to make a decision, and they knew that there was only one choice they could make.
Venti turned to Aether, his voice filled with determination, and he said, "Aether, you need to go. You need to leave me, you need to escape. I'll hold them off, I'll give you time. Just go."
Aether looked at Venti, his heart breaking, the tears filling his eyes. He knew that Venti was making the right choice, the only choice, and he also knew that he would always remember his sacrifice.
As he fled, Aether's heart was breaking, his soul filled with sadness and regret, but he also knew that he had to keep going, that he had to escape, that he had to live, not just for himself but for Venti too.
He ran as fast as he could, his tears falling to the ground, his heart filled with pain and sadness, with love and gratitude. As he ran, he promised himself that he would always remember Venti, that he would always carry him in his heart, that he would always fight for him, and that he would always love him, until the end of time.
As Aether ran, he heard the sounds of Venti's screaming in pain. He knew that he had to turn back, to try to save him, to do something, anything to help him. But he was too late, the Fatui were already closing in on Venti, and their weapons raised.
Aether stopped, his heart racing, his mind filled with sadness, regret, and sorrow. He knew that there was nothing he could do, that he had failed Venti, that he had failed to save him.
He fell to his knees, his head in his hands, his heart breaking, his soul filled with anguish. He felt as if the world was crumbling around him, as if everything he had ever known was falling apart, as if he was being ripped apart by a thousand different emotions.
But even in his pain, even in his sadness, even in his regret, he knew that he would always carry Venti with him, in his heart, in his mind, in his soul. He would always remember Venti, he would always love Venti, and he would always carry that love with him, until the end of time.
And so, as the tears fell from his eyes, as the world blurred around him, as the pain and the sadness and the regret washed over him.
As Aether held Venti's lifeless body in his arms, he spoke, his voice filled with love, with pain, with all of the emotions that had washed over him in the past few hours. He spoke of their memories, of their love, of all of the things that had brought them happiness, all of the things that had brought them joy, how they had found each other, how they had fallen in love, how they had shared everything, how they had fought side by side, how they had faced the world together, how they had overcome the obstacles, how they had held onto each other through the hard times, how they had found each other's solace in each other, how they had loved each other, how they had been there for each other, how they had been each other's everything.
He spoke of all of the things that they had shared, all of the laughter, all of the love, all of the moments that had brought them light in the dark, all of the moments that had brought them joy in the sadness. He spoke of all of the things that they had been for each other, all of the things that they would never forget, all of the things that they would always love.
As he spoke, his voice filled with love, his soul filled with sadness, his heart filled with regret, his body filled with heartache, he knew that he would never stop loving Venti, that he would always carry Venti with him, that he would always remember everything that they had shared, that he would always love Venti, until the end of time.
And so, as he held Venti's lifeless body in his arms, as he spoke the words of love, as he let out the tears of sadness, as he let out the agony of regret, Aether knew that he had lost everything, that he had lost Venti, that he had lost his love, that he had lost the light of his life. But he also knew that he would always carry Venti in his heart, in his mind, in his soul.
As Aether dug the grave for Venti, he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, the pain of loss filling his body, the sadness filling his heart, the regret filling his mind. He wept as he dug, tears falling to the ground, his voice filled with anguish, with the agony of loss, with the agony of missing Venti, with the agony of wishing that he had been able to save Venti.
He spoke of all of the things that he would do in Venti's honor, all of the things that he would achieve in Venti's name, all of the changes that he would make in the world, all of the things that he would never forget. He spoke of all of the things that he would do to make the world a better place, all of the things that he would do to ensure that the Fatui could no longer do what they had done, all of the things that he could do to honor Venti's memory.
As he finished digging the grave, as he laid Venti to rest, as he placed a flower on the grave, he fell to his knees, his voice filled with sadness, with regret, with hurt. He knew that he would never stop fighting, that he would never stop loving, that he would never forget Venti, that he would always remember everything that they had shared, and that he would always carry Venti with him, until the end of time.
