TW: homophobic slurs, abuse, drinking

*Bruce POV*
I ran to my moms room and saw her drinking a bottle of vodka. I sighed and sat next to her bed on her rocking chair. "Mama?" I said as quietly as possible. "What the hell you want?!" she slurred. I was silent for a bit, "Uhm I need advice on something.." She rolled her eyes "What" "I think I like this person at our school.. Nut everyone knows we hate each other, except our friends...." My mom set the bottle of vodka down and looked at me. "So who's this girl you might like?" I froze. "Mama it's not a girl.." Before I could even mention his name my mom slapped the shit out of me. "I didn't raise no fag!! Get out now." And with that I was gone hoping a friend would let me stay with them.

*3rd person POV*
Bruce walked the roads for a good hour stressing about who he would be staying with because Robins mom said he has cousins living with him. Finney was at his grandmas in Chicago for a week. Billy was too busy with delivering newspapers. And Griffin didn't have enough food for Bruce to stay.. Which left Vance. As much as Bruce didn't wanna stay with Vance he needed somewhere to go. Bruce walked to Vance's house and hesitated for a minute or two then knocked on the door. Vance immediately opened the door and looked at Bruce with confusion.

*Vance POV*
I heard a knock on the door and immediately opened it to see Bruce Yamada at my door. "What are you doing here?" Bruce explained everything to me and I agreed to let him stay until he was ok to go back home. I kinda felt bad for him but I was also shocked that the golden boy of our school was bisexual. I shut the door and sat back on the couch, "You can get something to eat a if you'd like." Bruce didn't talk at all since I met him in. "Uh ok." I was kind of concerned for Bruce but I obviously just ignored it since we hated each other. Bruce sat down on the couch diagonally from the one I was sitting on. He looked upset, really upset.
