It’s amazing how one’s life can just change in a blink of an eye. I’ve been rooted in the same place for the past few minutes contemplating whether I should go out there or stay in this house and hide behind these walls. The negotiations went well I am officially Mrs Manqele  traditionally and I couldn’t be more ‘happier’ yeah I can be sarcastic like that, there’s really nothing to be  happy about in this situation that I am in at this current moment. “Hey when will you give your husband some food or are you waiting for him to collect it himself, snap out of it and hurry up kade beklindile” trust my Aunt to hit my back hard whilst saying that akathandi abantu abathithizelako. I quickly take the water that I poured in an enamel dish and a clean dishcloth to help him wash his hands “ manje aunty ngiyombona kanjan ngoba angmaz” “khululeka yiloya ogcoke isuit ephelele e navy blue nawe uzombona marn” at this point I can literally feel my heart beating hard against my chest and my knees getting wobbly. Trust abomakhelwane to show up even when not invited, I can feel so many eyes on me I just hope I don’t trip and fall and embarrass myself, as soon as I lift my eyes they land on this beautiful creature of God, Jesus Christ this man is a sight to sore eyes, did he have to be this good looking though?

Getting to him I immediately kneel down and bring forth the dish for him to wash his hands he does so with too much patience it almost gets to my nerves I can feel his eyes boring into me.

I get up and go collect his food I do all this with as much silence as I can possibly master, my whole family is looking at me like I’ve grown some horns maybe I should have at least I should’ve greeted well then I guess I should.

As soon as I get on my knees once more I look to my left side but keep my head down

“boMpangazitha ngthanda ukuqolisa ngendlela engsuke ngazphatha ngayo ngokfika ngingabulise bengsadidekile ngyaqolisa kakhulu” “khululeka koti siyazwisisa” a man that looks exactly like mine just few ages older says with a warm smile he must be the older brother. I turn to look  at my husband “ Mlotshwa” I say handing him the tray and he gladly accepts, “ngyabonga maKunene” okay God you’ve tested me enough with his looks please don’t do it with his voice also, I quickly get up and go back to the house.

I was told to pack my clothes since I will be going back with my husband and right now we are currently riding back to Johannesburg together, I’ve been getting texts from Sabelo since last night since I haven’t been answering his calls I’m scared to tell him the truth and I also can’t just break up with him I love him too much to do so. My phone rings disturbing the uncomfortable silence we find ourselves in he shoots me a look and I just can’t seem to understand his expression, I choose to ignore it but it rings again “ please just answer it or switch it off its irritating” WHAT IN THE HELLLLL.
