Chapter 38: Happy Birthday

"No I hate being picked up!" I yelled as Harry tried to lift me up

"Come on you have to hang it... everyone else is finishing the gifts." Harry pouted

"Fine... give me the banner" I growled

"Now don't freak..." Harry lifted me up so I could tape the banner "See it's not that bad..."

"Put me down Styles..." I glared not wanting to be picked up again

Harry set me down and stood back looking at our hanging skills. Just then Zayn, Perrie, Riley, Niall, and Katie walk in with their gifts wrapped.

"Where's Lou?" Niall looked around

"He kicked me out so he could wrap the present..." I laughed a bit to myself

We were all spread out across the hotel rooms when we finally got everything for Liam's birthday. Shopping for gifts and decorations took 6 days cause everyone didn't know what to get. Lay has Liam out now for a romantic birthday dinner as we decorate and wait for midnight to surprise Liam.

"What did you guys get Liam?" I heard Zayn ask as I started to make a cake

"I'M NOT TELLING!" Harry's voice yelled causing me to jump a bit

"Eggs, flour..." I mumbled as I hummed a song

" Backseat serenade, little hand grenade! Oh god I'm sick of sleeping alo-" I started singing but was cut off as I shriek from someone grabbing me

"But your not sleeping alone..." Louis smirked as he turned me and held me close

"You scared me!" I sighed as I throw flour at him

Soon a full out war broke out, laughter and flour filled the kitchen.

"Lil everything okay?" Ashton walked in
"well then....I'll just go..." he walked out the smirk quite visible in his voice

More laughter and flour filled the room then soon all went quite as Louis' flour-covered lips connected with mine.

"Why's it so quite suddenly?" Luke's voice appeared causing us to pull apart

"Oh um..." I studdered looking at the floor as Luke leaned in the doorway with a slight hurt expression

"Lay is on her way how's the cake?!" Perrie yelled

I quickly put the cake in the oven, set the timer, and starting to clean the kitchen.

"Well finish this later..." Louis whispered helping

Soon the kitchen was clean and the cake was all but frosted

"Did you have a good time?" Liam's voice appeared

All the lights went out and everyone started hiding as Lay and Liam walked in turning on the lights.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone jumped out and hugged Liam

"Guys!" Liam got kinda teary-eyed

All the boys ran to get their gifts as us girls sat Liam down in a circle on the floor.

"LIAM OPEN MINE FIRST!" Louis ran in

"I mean ours..." he smiled sitting next to me

"Why am I scared?" Liam looks over at me as he slowly unwraps the gift

Liam reads the card and looks slightly more scared as he pulled out a Woody and Little Bo Peep doll than a cowboy hat and a small Bo Peep lingerie costume.

"Louis!" I hit his arm

"Oh god..." Liam blushes

"Really..." Lay glared

"What" Louis smirked

"Here Li.." Niall giggled a bit at Louis' gift

"Fine." Liam opened it and pulled out Toy Store hair gel

"Thank you Niall!" Liam chuckled

"Catch!" Harry yells as he throws the present

Liam catches it and opens it revealing a box of Toy Story condoms

"Why am I friends with you guys?" Liam asks sighing

"Here mate." Zayn hands Liam what looks like a shirt box

Liam cautiously opens it and starts tearing up as he reveals two Wolverhampton Waders FC Jersey with Payne written on the back of both.

"One for you and one for Lay." Perrie smiles

"One last thing..." Lay hands Liam a bag

"You don't have to get me anything, having you is the best gift." Liam smiles as he reachs into the bag and pulls out a Batman onesie with a hood

"I love it!" Liam hugs Lay

"Come help me?" I whispered to Louis as I got up

"Grab the candles?" I asked as we got into the kitchen

"Got the lighter?" Louis began to put the candles on the cake

"Here!" I throw it as he began to light the candles

"Ready?" Louis grabbed the cake

"Yup!" I ran and turned the lights off

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Liam! Happy birthday to you!" Everyone sang as Lay recorded

"Blow out the candels!" Louis giggled

"Really Lou you put them in the shape of a dick?" I looked over at him

Liam shook his head and blew them out then grabbed a handful of cake and shoved it in Louis' face causing everyone to just grab handfuls of cake and eat it.

"Happy birthday Li!" Lay kissed Liam even though they were both covered in cake
