TW Swearing

Three months. It had been three months since I got this job. It had been rough in the beginning, but I think I was getting used to it. I usually got to the office earlier than 9, so I could leave earlier.

Work had just ended for the day, and I was packing up my things to go home to probably eat ice cream. Just then a young man, who I couldn't deny was handsome came up to me. "Ms. Grey?"

I looked at him and he smiled at me. "I was wondering if you would go out with me? I find you very attractive."

Straightforward. I blinked a few times before giving an answer. "Sure, why not?"

"Ok, how about you meet me at Delectables in Paradise? Reservation name Jones." That was a new restaurant that had just opened up a few months ago, but it was quite an expensive place to eat.  "Alright, that sounds good."

He walked off and I grabbed my bag. I guess there was gonna be no ice cream for me tonight. Girl is finna get herself laid.

When I arrived home I took a shower and found a silver dress with heels to match. I rubbed a little perfume on my wrists and neck, and applied my usually lipgloss to my lips. I also grabbed a small bag and tucked my phone and lipgloss into it.

Hopefully tonight would be a distraction.

I left my apartment and locked the door behind me. I waved a taxi down and hopped in, giving him directions to the restaurant. When I arrived I was awestruck. I had only seen the restaurant on pictures, but they did not given it its justice. The design was similar to another building I had seen before, but I couldn't put a pin in where I had seen it.

I walked in and up to the reservation desk. "Is there a reservation under the name Jones?"

The lady typed something on her tablet and shook her head. "Sorry there is no reservation under that name."

Great. I just got stood up. All this for nothing. I sighed and started turning around when I felt a strong arm wrap around my waist. "Reservation for Rossi. Thank you."

I looked up to see Miguel. Of course I had to run into him here. He walked away and pulled me with him, before the woman could even check his reservation. He sat me down in a comfortable chair and sat in one across from me. "Why are you here and why did you bring me here?"

He didn't answer but instead stared at me. His dark eyes seemed to look right through me and into my deepest darkest secrets. We sat in silence for a while till at last a waitress walked around to ask us what we wanted to drink. Before I could open my mouth he spoke still staring at me. "Water."

The waitress walked away and I called after her. "Wait! You forgot my drink!"

She continued as though she didn't hear me. Fuck this place. I opened the paper wrapping of my plastic straw and placed it into my water. I leaned my head down to drink so I wouldn't have to look at him. I peeked through my fake ass lashes and he was still staring at me, water untouched. I picked up my menu and looked through all the choices. I would make sure to pick something expensive since I defiantly wasn't paying for it.

The waiter came back around presumably to get our orders. I opened my mouth to speak and was interrupted by Miguel. "The usual."

The waiter nodded and walked away leaving me speechless. "What the hell is wrong with you!? What's the usual!? What'd you just order!?"

He didn't respond and I stood up. "Where are you going?"

Now he wanted to speak. "I'm just going to use the bathroom."

If he though I was leaving, he was crazy. Who would stand up free food? Defiantly not someone poor like me.

I rushed to the bathroom to pee and while I was washing my hands a few girls came in. "Gosh it's that guy again. I feel bad for whoever he came in with this time."

"Yeah, I know right?" I turned to look at them. "Who are you talking about?"

One of the girls ignored me and continued fixing her make up, but the other gave me an answer. "Mr. Rossi, I think. Apparently he's a bad guy and everyone he's been to this restaurant with has never been seen again. But it's just a rumor."

I nodded her a thanks and walked out of the bathroom. There was no way I was staying here any longer. I would miss my free food, but I think in this situation my life was more important. I went to look for an exit besides the one I came in through. When I found one there was a man in a suit with sunglasses standing in front of it. He smiled at me. "You should go eat your food ma'am. I think it's getting cold."

I gave him a small smile back and ran as best I could with my heels to look for another exit. I needed to get away from here now.

Unfortunately every other exit was block by a similar man. Oh well, free food here I come. I went back to the table where Miguel was and sat down. "You kept me waiting."

I looked at him. He looked angry, but I couldn't exactly tell. "I'm sorry, long queue."

We began eating and I pulled out my phone hiding it under the table. This was my last resort. I typed 9-1-1 into the emergency keypad, but when I pressed the button to start the call nothing happened. Then my phone turned off.

Oh well.

I put my phone back down and started looking through the dessert menu contemplating on what I wanted. If this was gonna be my last meal I was gonna make it count. When the waitress came by asking if we wanted dessert, he declined and pulled me out of my seat. "Hey I wanted dessert! Also you can't just leave without paying!"

His grip on my arm got tighter and in low voice he spoke. "Keep your voice down. I don't need to pay at a restaurant I own."

My suspicions were confirmed. I was defiantly in danger.
