Karl had always been a hopeless romantic. He had a crush on a boy named Quackity in high school. They were in the same classes, but Karl never had the courage to talk to him. Now, years later, Karl still thinks about Quackity, but he can't remember what he looked like. He only remembers how he made him feel.
Karl has tried to find love with other man, but he can't seem to find anyone that compares to his old crush. He's been on countless dates, but every time he meets someone new, he compares them to Quackity.
One day, Karl was walking through the park when he saw a man sitting on a bench. He had a book in his hand and was reading intently. Karl couldn't believe his eyes. He had the same smile he remembered from Quackity. He walked up to him and struck up a conversation. They talked for hours, and Kar felt a connection he hadn't felt in years.
As they were saying their goodbyes, Karl asked for his name. He told him it was Foolish. Karl's heart sank. He realized that he had been comparing every man he met to a person he couldn't even remember. He had been holding onto a memory for so long that he had forgotten what it was like to truly connect with someone.
Karl realized that he needed to let go of his old crush and open himself up to new experiences. He started going on dates without any expectations and met some wonderful men.
