Another day and another place that Etta has forced me to go to. But, this time I begged her not to make me go, but there we were. Etta had dragged me to Silverstone on the 18th of July, 2021.
The main reason I went was to go and see Lando, Max, Daniel, Charles and everyone else. Etta said she would keep me far away from Pierre if that was what I wanted.
I had spoken to Charles, and we had both apologized for snapping at each other, but he stood by telling Pierre what I had said, or he would.
Another thing was that I hadn't actually told them I was here, so that would be a surprise - whether it be a good or bad one.
Somehow, I was still allowed to go through the garages to see everyone, and my first stop was the man from Monaco.
I saw him, stood in the corner of the garage, on his phone. He didn't see me approaching, so I stood next to him and put on some voice. "Charles, we need you to check something,"
"Check something? What-" he looked up from his phone and saw me stood there. "You said you weren't coming!" he yelled, throwing his arms around me.
"I lied," I laughed in his ear.
"Has anyone else seen you yet?" he asked, leading me through the garage. I was already so happy to see him, so I was waiting to go and find the others.
"No, not yet," I told him.
Suddenly, I felt a heavy pair of arms on my shoulders. "Guess who?" I could instantly tell who it was by the thick, Australian accent. "Chris Hemsworth?"
"Good job you've got something better," he laughed, hugging me from behind. "How've you been?"
"You're acting like we didn't talk yesterday," I said, rolling my eyes at him.
"I know, but it's better seeing you in person,"
The El Plan group chat had been going strong, the four of us had been talking pretty much everyday, no matter the time difference. "Do you know where Lando is?" I asked, wanting to complete the group.
"Yeah, he should be over there somewhere," Charles said, pointing to a group of people out in the paddock. "Oi, Lando!" Daniel yelled out to the group. I watched as people parted as the curly haired boy walked towards us.
His smile spread when he spotted me, and he started skipping our way. "Lee Lee!" he squealed, grabbing me into a hug. He pulled his phone out, pausing whatever song he was listening to. Daniel casually grabbed his phone right out of his hand to see what he was listening to.
"Dan, give me phone back," he pouted, trying to reach out for it. Daniel snatched it away again, raising his eyebrows.
"Just checking you're not listening to anything you shouldn't be listening to," he said, winking at the young Brit. Charles' cheeks flushed red and so did mine. "Well would you look at that, you're listening to one of our dear Lee's songs,"
Daniel flashed the phone towards us, to show that he was listening to 'Fearless'. "Awww, so you really do love the album," I teased him.
"Shut up, it's a good song to motivate me before a race," he explained as Daniel finally handed him his phone back. "Have you seen Pierre yet?" Charles said in a hushed tone, in case anyone around was listening.
"No, I haven't. I've been avoiding anything that looks French or Alphatauri," I said, eliciting giggles from all around. "How's Benoit?" Daniel asked, sounding extremely disgusted when he said 'Benoit'.
"I just want to forget about him, right now," I said, brushing him off by waving my hand in the air.
"Seriously, though," Daniel asked again.
