It had been a while since they left their house, and Raven suddenly realized they had arrived at Sage's door. When did they start walking there? They had just let their legs carry them anywhere, why here? Was it because they always came here? They were planning to go somewhere else, they didn't want to bother Sage with their stupid problems anymore. But... their legs had led them there. They knocked on the door. "Sage? Are you here?" They asked through the door. The door opened and Sage gasped. They blinked before signaling Raven to come in. Raven nodded and walked in.
"What happened..?" Sage asked, worry prominent on their face. Raven shook their head and sighed.
"Nothing happened, Sage." Sage looked at Raven with an expression that read 'I don't believe you'. Raven sighed. "I failed my class, my old man got mad and shoved me into a vase, then I got kicked out. I started walking and ended up here." Sage looked at Raven.
"That explains the cut on your neck. You're lucky it didn't cut anything that could've been fatal." Raven looked up, confused. They felt their neck and sure enough, they could feel something wet. They pulled back their hand to see blood. Red, fresh blood. They could feel the blood run down their neck. The blood on their hands dripped onto the wooden floor, leaving glimmering spots of red. Raven smiled at the sight of it. They didn't understand why, but it brought a smile to their lips. "Raven, are you feeling okay? Normal people don't stare at blood and smile..." Sage looked at Raven, but Raven only shook their head, the smile still on their face.
