"Don't worry, I'm only smiling because this is the first time the old man has actually made me bleed." Raven said, not even bothering to look up. "All the other times it was just bruises or shit."
"Do you need a doctor or something?" Raven looked up at Sage.
"Look. Just get me a first aid Raven and I should be fine." Sage opened their mouth to protest, but shut it and left for the first aid Raven. Raven grabbed a tissue and wiped the blood off of their hand. They would still need to wash it, but it was good enough for now. Sage walked back in with the Raven. Raven mumbled a barely audible "Thanks." And Sage nodded.
"Are you sure you're fine?" Sage asked. Raven nodded.
"Yes, Sage, I'm fine." They replied, and Sage sighed. Sage opened their mouth to speak, but closed it again. Raven got up and headed for the door.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Sage asked, worried. Raven looked back at Sage. Raven smiled and waved goodbye before walking out. And they ran. They didn't know where, or why, but they just ran. They kept running. They were running out of breath, and their legs were going weak, but they kept running. They stopped and looked around. The place was very familiar, but Raven couldn't tell where it was. Their breath stopped as they realized where it was.
