Chapter 12.

MIA POV

It was a long day in the paddock. I haven't seen Ally for half of it. She's been somewhere with Carlos.

"Mia I'm so sorry for ditching you..." she puppy eyed me when she finally came back.
"That's alright, I found some replacement for you..."
"Well I want to hear everything about that." She said waiting for me to tell her more.
"No! Now it's your turn"..."-you and Carlos" I cheered quietly.
"Shh.."she looked around to make sure that no one is there.
"He is amazing" she started to melt.
"He is so caring and interested in me...he asked me so many questions, wanting to know me".."-I'm not used to this" she added.
"Well how could you be..all men you ever dated were idiots....- I like Carlos, he is a special one" I was happy they connected.
"But what about you? What were you up to?" She changed the subject.
"Me? I'm just stupid..." I shook my head.
"I ran into Max.." I forgot she didn't know about us.."-well him and I..we kind of had a thing long time ago, it absolutely didn't mean a thing, so that was an awkward moment. But no one knows, not even Lando.." I explained to her really fast.
"And then when I finally wanted to go meet Lan I met Charles.." I rolled me eyes thinking about him.
"Well you need to explain" she opened her mouth in shock.
"First of all...you and Max? And second...what is the problem with Charles babe?" She was totally confused. Well get in the club Ally, I'm more than confused about all of this. Month ago I was happily living in Paris without all of this drama.
"Max happened because of Charles, I would say..."
"-and about Charles..." I took a deep breath."- we didn't part on good terms and I'm not ready to tell the whole story just yet.." It wasn't easy to open up about all of the past. I definitely healed but it still hurts. I'm capable to talk about it just with Lando..he was there with me.
"I just want you to know that I'm here for you okay? Whenever you ready..." she said and gave me a hug.. just what I needed.
"I know, you're the best" I'm glad I have Ally by my side.
"I have one thing I need help with though.."..."-I invited Max out tonight" I said with my face buried in my hands.
"Mia?! I can't leave you alone anymore" Ally laughed at me.
"You need to go with me!" I insisted
"I what?"
"Yes, I have a plan, you invite Carlos and I tell Lando to go with us as well..I can't be with Max alone All" I was actually scared to go with him just by myself. I did that once and I'm not doing it again. He has something that makes him so irresistible sometimes.

I was waiting on Lando so we could go back to the hotel together, Ally already left and I also needed to tell him about that plan I made for tonight.

"You did what?" Was Lando's reaction. "-why Max?" he was curious.
"I panicked...Charles was there and I just..." I started to explain myself but I didn't know how...so I just stopped talking.
"But I want to be with you tonight, so you go with us and I also told Ally and she's taking Carlos." I was happy with the plan I made...but I was the only one.
"You seemed...mad?" I was careful with the choice of words...Lando looked angry...he didn't even responded.
"You don't have to go with us if you don't want to.." I finally said when the silence was unbearable.
"I know Max so I won't let you to go alone.."he spoke to me at last.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing, just don't do anything stupid tonight" he took his eyes of the road and looked at me.
"Promise and you be there with me the whole time" I gave him a smile and the rest of the ride was quiet.

I was glad that Carlos and Ally was all in with tonight, Lando wasn't thrilled but agreed, the only one who didn't know was Max.
Carlos and Lando came to our room a bit early. We decided to go to the club...Lan has his own set and sometimes does the DJ so hopefully tonight he plays something for us.
"You're going like that?" Lando raised his eyebrows and gave me a strange look. I catch Carlos whispering something to him that I didn't hear.
"What's wrong with that?" I asked looking at myself in the mirror.
"Nothing Mia, you look great" Carlos said and Lando was silent. He's acting weird lately. But I ignored it and waited for the knock on the door where Max would be standing and there it was.
I opened the door wide and thought I was going to pass out.
Max was standing there, but Charles was standing next to him as well.
I just stood there speechless.
"You forgot to tell me that this was going to be a multi-person date." Max walked past me inside giving me a smile.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Charles when I finally came to my senses.
"Carlos invited me. At least someone still has a soft spot for me." Charles grinned and walked into our room as well.
"Gee we're getting a little crowded around here." Ally came between all of us and started introducing herself.
I just gave Carlos a warning look and shook my head. He just whispered to me "I'm sorry."
