Are we out of the woods yet? (The GC)

Chapter 1

The music from the radio blared through the open country roads from the large pink mini-van that carried a group of 8 teenagers. The snow was falling heavily around them and they would need to find somewhere to sleep soon since the sun was starting to fall in the light blue sky above them.

The van was driven by a tall boy by the name of Henrik, being the oldest of the group, he was made to drive because no one else had their license. He was having fun with his friends, singing along to the tune of Taylor Swift. His friend Jess was in the passenger seat and she was in control of the radio which explained why Taylor Swift was playing.

"I don't mean to be a fun killer but can you turn the music down?" Raven screamed over the music as their girlfriend, Gemma, slept against their shoulder. This earned a groan from Victoria in the back seat who was always a little dramatic. It was her idea to get a pink minivan and drive around America in it with her best friends.

"Come on, Raven. We were having fun" She complained as Jess turned off the music to let Gemma get some rest.

"Well, have fun somewhere else. Can you tell her to let Gemma sleep?" Raven turned to Jess and Henrik for their support to which Rik laughed and Jess nodded in agreement with a playful smile on her lips. 

"We really should find somewhere to get some sleep" She said, looking out at the open fields that surrounded them. They were all covered in mountains of snow and there was no way they would be able to keep warm all night with no heating which caused Jess to panic a little.

"Yeah, if we want to freeze to death," Luna spoke up from beside Victoria, looking up from their phone. "if we stop this car the heating will go off and I don't really feel like freezing my balls off in the middle of nowhere"

"Okay, Luna. Calm down, you won't freeze your balls off," Henrik said with a roll of his eyes. "We have blankets and there's a lot of us here, the body heat will keep up from freezing. Penguins do it in the arctic, I saw it once" He shrugged.

"I love penguins!" Lisa said, popping up seemingly from nowhere. She clearly hadn't been listening to a word any of the group had been saying and just heard the part about penguins.

Jess let out a chuckle and looked out the windshield of the minivan. "Pull over here" she said to Henrik, who nodded and did as Jess said. Jess climbed over the back of her chair to pull out a large pile of blankets. Caitlin helped her hand them out to the rest of the group who wrapped themselves up in them and lowered their seats to get some sleep.

"I swear to God if I freeze to death" Luna muttered under her breath but wrapped the blanket around his body and lay down anyway.

Jess climbed back into her seat in the front of the van and within a few minutes each and everyone of them was sound asleep. 

A few hours later Victoria woke with a start as the side of the Van was hit by something forcefully, It wad enough to shake the full van but when she looked out the window, there was nothing there. She tried to shake of the fright she felt but as she lay back down she noticed an empty space beside her. Luna wasn't there. She sat up, panic clear in her features and looked towards the front of the van.

When she did, she found the two front seats to be empty as well. Henrik, Luna and Jess were nowhere to be seen. 

She let out a quiet gasp of fright before reaching her arm over to shake Caitlin awake.

Caitlin groaned in her sleep, not waking up as easily as Vi had but after a few more shakes she sat up. "What is it? My god, it's freezing" she whispered. At first, she didn't recognize Vi's frightened look because of the dark but when she did she started panicking. "Vi? What's wrong?"
