Douxie's POV
I could see her in my dreams and only in my dreams, her porclein golden glow and sea deep eyes. And a familiar nostalgia that stapled me forever
I woke up from the blaring alarm on my night stand and groaned at a throbbing headache.
"An exciting day isn't it" Archie beamed with the most somber voice, flying over me looking for something. The morning sounds of car horns filling the air gradually.
I moaned. "Yeah, lovely day." I got up and got ready for my shift before I could leave I saw the time and I was already running late. No time for breakfast and since Archie didn't want to tag along I raced to the cafe. I was only a minute late thankfully. I unpacked and got ready for the shift.
All day I could only think of the girl in my dreams. For some reason she's all that brings me joy now, going to sleep hoping I would be able to visit her.
"Douxie? What's going on you don't seem like your usual self these days." Mark startled me with a sudden comment. I just shrugged at him and said.
"Tired." Turns out after Merlin died I didn't have much to look forward to, I needed two jobs to make ends meet and it was not easy. At least the lessons with merlin were giving me something to look forward to but now everything is dull.
That was until I saw her in the café this morning. The same white porcelain skin and platinum messy blond hair. I don't want to sound crazy but she looked like she was shinning.
"Can I help you?" She smiled and I blushed in embarrassment realizing I was staring at her for so long.
"Ahem no sorry, I apologize, would you like something my darling?" The ooze of flirtiness in my voice was suddenly back. I couldn't tell how or why. All I've being feeling was mortifying sadness inside.
She giggled like a child. And it had fluttered my heart like butterflies. Her eyes were sparkling like wine.
"No thank you good sir. I'm alright." She almost whispered mocking in my own accent. I tried not to blush but I could feel my cheeks heating up. I bowed to her in the same fashion and went to the counter and inside the staff room. I tried to catch my breath. I didn't know what to do. She IS the girl I saw in my dreams. I could feel it from her feel...Everything. My heart was beating too fast and I couldn't breath. I needed to go home and tell Archie.
I got out from the staff room and the sun was already setting, the girl was standing in the entrance when she looked at me and smiled with her rosy lips. I was enchanted. I came up towards her and I was gonna say something that she stopped me and said.
"I'd like you to meet me tomorrow at five. If you're available." She had peace in her eyes.
"Y-yes. Ok." I agreed. She left the entrance with a wave. And soon enough disappeared.
"Dude, what are you doing your shift is done." Jeff knocked me out of my trance and I just smiled at them and said ok and took my stuff and left feeling jittery and somehow...happy.
The moment I got home I gushed about everything to Archie. And to my surprise he just looked at me like I needed to be where crazy people live.
"I'm TELLING YOU ARCHIE she's the girl I've being seeing in my dreams. LITERALLY. The same hair skin and eyes. She reminds me of enchantresses." I flopped myself on my bed.
Archie nuzzled near me. "I'm very sure she's just another young teenager that happens to match your description there are so many other girls that look like that." I got up and l looked at him straight in the eye.
"I KNOW that's why I'm saying she has that vibe. IT's different. She is the girl" I whispered the last part to myself. Archie didn't say anything so I dozed off to sleep and that was the most content I had felt in the longest while.
The next day I got up when I remembered about the girl and immediately arrived to the café. Turns out I was 10 minutes early. I kept tapping restlessly on the counter every time I wouldn't have anything to do and constantly check the time.
It was 5 pm now. My eyes were stuck on the entrance. So much that I ended up spilling a coffee on one customer. And that's when I felt her come in.
I got done cleaning and my shift was already over as Jeff came in I immediately threw the apron on him and flew outside.
I saw her going in the alleyway. So I followed. It was getting dark.
She was standing there. In the darkness yet shining. I was starting to get suspicious.
