At last, a new chapter is here after two months. I'm so so sorry for taking this long. I was incredibly busy with my finals and once I finished, I had other things going on and I couldn't fully focus on my writing, but here it is!!

WAS IT ALL JUST a lie? It has to be. Has everyone just gone mental? How could Hanji and Armin come to a conclusion like that, without any proof? It was nonsense.

Pure nonsense, for heaven's sake.

When they told him, Jean just wanted to shut the world out, to hold onto his ears until they are blood-shot red, so not a single word could enter and tell him that everything he's known, shared, loved about her was nothing, but a lie.

Iris, a Titan? A threat to humanity? A cruel and ruthless murderer sent out to annihilate every life inside the walls, including his?

No.

That was nowhere near the Iris he knew. The girl he was so hopelessly in love with.

She has been nothing, but a good person. And though she might not openly express her true feelings or be one to demonstrate she cares by physical touch, Jean and her friends knew Iris has a tender heart.

Iris is the girl that never fails to greet you good morning and good night, the one to ease your responsibilities even when not being asked, the first one to offer her food when you're hungry, the one to teach you how to improve your combat skills, the one who is always there to listen, the one you can trust with your life.

The one Jean admires and cherishes the most.

Besides that, Iris is strong as steel. A strong soldier. Whether it's during battle or not, she never lets anything get in her way or intimidate her, and won't hesitate to do everything in her power to protect those she cares about.

Jean knows this more than anyone, remembering the time he was about to face death in the hands of the Female Titan, but was saved by Iris. She didn't seem to care about the danger nor did she waste time to save him.

Iris placed her life on the line for him. If what Hanji and Armin are saying is true, and Iris is truly an enemy, why would she protect him? Why would she risk her life for someone she is meant to kill?

How can someone as kind and beautiful as Iris be seen as a monster?

Jean couldn't help but feel like every moment they have shared together was an act, and at the same time, he desperately hopes he's wrong.
