Alright, I'm going to be completely honest. I'm not sure what possessed me to do this. But here I am. Well, I suppose so my followers and friends on here have a better understand of who I am.
Writing to me is one of the most fun things to do, when it isn't for school. When I first joined the app, course I did what almost everyone on here does and read fanfics. Some good, some really bad ones, and let's be honest; some are just straight up shit or cringe. But, both the good and the bad made me think "Maybe I can write something of my own," so I did. I spent at least 3-4 weeks on a 60-61 part of what I considered a really good story. It was called "Best Day of My Life," which I had written in probably my freshman/sophomore year of high school. Hell, I think it might've been in the end of 8th grade. It was my first big project, and I was proud of it. Unfortunately it didn't do too well. It was overall messy and at some points (all of it) downright cringe. So I ended up deleting it. The file still sits in my google docs. So since then I just kept reading stories.
I'm now a freshman in college, still reading stories. However, in my Junior year of high school I stumbled upon a story that I found myself invested in like a TV show. It was a book by ElectricZenuth. It was one of the first stories on here that I thought was truly well made, even for a fanfic. I had conversations with the author at times and I was getting inside sneak peaks that I never thought would've been allowed. Sure Zenith was a great author, but just last year I met the most interesting author ever. I started messaging him, and he was pretty cool. After a time of talking, I was asked if I wanted to be a part of his book. "Me?" I thought. Sure I maybe made some suggestions and observations and asked questions before. But asking a reading if he wanted to be part of your project? It was almost unreal. But since then, I've been a part of his project and I've been having the time of my lice with helping him write his book. We've even created a one-shot book for the main book to entertain people as they wait for main book chapters. But it wasn't his writing that interested me the most, it was his way of thinking that mainly interested me.
He isn't writing this book to gain followers or even make a name. He's doing it simply because it's fun! I've seen some authors on here who have pumped out chapters and books without even putting any planning in them, making them sloppy. But the author I'm helping takes his time to make sure that there's careful detail to the book and actually gives the main character depth. Being a part of this project has been amazing, I'm thankful that he had asked me to be a part of it.
So that's a short explication of who I am. I might write my own book again one day, but fir now I'm content with being a co-author.
