Tommy was feeling absolutely terrible. He woke up to an empty room with a terrible headache and bone-chilling exhaustion. Phil had to leave last night with Techno and Wilbur because they had to go to the high school, Phil with work and his brothers with school. He was disappointed, but he didn't let the other three know that. He told them that he would be okay on his own and he could always message them if he needed anything. He was lying when he said he wanted them to go because they needed to. He wished they had insisted and stayed.

The blonde reached his hand up to rub the crust and sleep out of his eyes. His throat and mouth were terribly dry. Without any of his family there to help him, they wouldn't be able to get him any water. He glanced down to the button on the remote that was connected to the side of the hospital bed. Pressing the button would alert a nurse, who would come in and check up on him. He was awfully thirsty and could use some painkillers. He reached over and pressed the button, the small light on the remote turned on, flashing a bright red.

Tommy waited in his room for a few minutes before he heard a knocking at the door. The knocking on the door only served as a warning. The nurse didn't wait for a response before opening the door and walking in to see if he was alright. She walked over to the remote and pressed the button. After pressing the button, the light turned off.

"You pressed the button, is everything alright?"

"I-" He cringed at his own voice and coughed. Damn his voice was very hoarse and scratchy.

"Could I get some water and painkillers?"

The nurse frowned, "I can get you some water, but I'm afraid the painkillers won't do anything to help."

Tommy shared her frown, "Why not?"

"Well, now that the drugs are all out of your system, you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms. With the type of drugs that were in your system, we can't prescribe anything to help you with the withdrawal."

Tommy wasn't exactly sure what withdrawal was, but damn did it sound like a bitch.

"Oh... well could I just get water then?"

"Of course, I'll also notify your guardian that you're experiencing withdrawal."

"Wait, no don't do that!"

"Sorry, but we have to let him know because he is your legal guardian and you are a minor."

Tommy huffed, "Fine..."

"I'll get you that water now." She gave him an apologetic smile before leaving the room.

He didn't really want to worry his family, they were already stressed enough with the recent events, they didn't need more. Though he felt kind of relieved to know that they might end up coming back early. Call him selfish, but he wanted his family back.

He waited in the room for a few minutes before the nurse walked back in with a water bottle. She set the bottle down on the nightstand next to the bed before she left. He reached for the bottle and unscrewed the cap. He lifted the bottle to his lips and tilted his head back, downing a little more than half the bottle. He screwed the lid back on and set the bottle back onto the nightstand. He sighed and reached down for his phone, wanting to do something to fill in the time until the others finally returned.

When Tommy lifted his phone to his face, he was able to see a notification pop up on his screen. He tapped on the notification, opening up his text messages with Phil.

Dad: Are you doing alright? I got the call from the hospital.

Tommy: Just "Withdrawl" or whatever that is.
