"Hello, Mrs. Renalds, welcome to Hogwarts. You're a Slytherin, am I correct?" The Headmistress looked up from the transfer papers. Aubry nodded. The headmistress clicked her tongue and spoke again.
"The Slytherin common room is in the dungeon and the password is 'Gryffindor'. Don't ask me, they choose the strangest names." Aubry grinned and then said,
"Thank you." She walked out leaving Professor McGonagall speechless from the kindness of a Slytherin.Aubry walked down to the dungeons and found the painting. She walked up to it and said 'Gryffindor'. The little man in the painting spoke.
"No, this is Slytherin's common room!" He started laughing hysterically, but the door opened anyways. She walked into the common room. Two boys were dueling and it seemed like the rest of the boys were sitting and cheering. She walked past them to the girls dormitory. She sat her green duffle bag down on a bed that didn't look occupied. The rest of the Slytherin girls were sitting in the middle of the floor with their blankets and sleeping bag's together in a circle. Aubry grabbed her blanket and plopped down in an empty space. Everyone stopped talking and looked at her. A raven haired girl spoke first.
"Are you a transfer?" Aubry nodded.
"Cool. We have never had a girl transfer. My name is Pansy Parkinson."
"My name is Aubry Renalds. Go on with the conversation." She said with a smile. Pansy started laughing.
"Your not from London are you? Are you from the country?" Aubry held her head proud.
"Alabama. Talk about getting surprised when you get a Hogwarts letter!" They all started laughing, then Pansy stopped, stood up, and walked towards the door. All the girls turned. Aubry looked at the door to find one of the boys that were dueling standing there. He was tall with blonde hair and he was cute. But, something about him made her not want to like him. Maybe it was the way the other girls smiled at him or the way his face was in a smirk, she didn't know.
"Yes?" Said Pansy. Aubry could already tell that Pansy was sort of the leader of the girls.
"I see we have a transfer...you weren't going to introduce her to us?" Aubry suddenly stood up.
"I can introduce myself. My name is Aubry Renalds. I'm from Alabama if you can't already tell." She rolled her eyes playfully and sat back down.
"I'm Malfoy. Come out here so we can talk face to face." He smirked and Aubry could feel the girls staring at her. She shrugged. She knew the reputation of Malfoy's
"I'm good. I'll see you around." She twisted back around and leaned in towards the huddle of girls. She started whispering.
"If you want him to go away, act like I'm saying something funny and laugh on three. One, Two, Three!" She started giggling and so did the other girls. When she turned to look at the door, The boy was gone.Draco was dueling with Zabini when a girl walked in the door. She had auburn hair, was skinny, and about medium height. He turned his head and got stupifed into the wall. He scowled at Zabini and quickly checked to see if the girl saw that. A few minutes later, he called the duel off and went straight to the doorway of the girl dormitory since he couldn't really go in. He saw the girl as new. He thought that the girls at Hogwarts were getting boring. He saw her talking to Pansy. He stood there until Pansy, and then everyone else noticed him.
"Yes?" Said Pansy. It was obvious that she liked him. In fact, to him, it was obvious that all the girls liked him by how quickly they smiled when they saw him. Except the girl. But that was just because she had never met him, he convinced himself.
"I see we have a transfer ... you weren't going to introduce her to us?" I didn't want to speak directly at her. She turned around then, and stood up.
"I can introduce myself. My name is Aubry Renalds. I'm from Alabama if you can't already tell." She rolled her eyes but smiled towards the girls and sat back down. The first thing he thought was that she belonged in Gryffindor. She stared right into his eyes and introduced herself. Other people would have let Pansy talk and avoided eye contact. He decided that she only did this because she didn't know who he was.
"I'm Malfoy." He paused to let that sink in. Nothing.
"Come out here so we can talk face to face." He put on a smirk on. He felt all the girls start to glare. He smirked harder. She shrugged
"I'm good. I'll see you around." She turned around and started whispering to the girls. He was humiliated and turned to leave. As he was leaving, he heard laugher. He was out played by a girl from Alabama, who wasn't even playing.
