The Little Siren

chapter 2

" you f-fell in l-love "  my voice barely coming out

She nodded her head slowly

" How did you know you loved him? "

" When I realised I couldn't live without him  " she said smiling softly at me

" what was he like ? " 

" He had beautiful soul , he was brave and very hard to not love "
A wide smile was on her face remembering him.

" How did you meet then " I asked

~~~~~~~~Flashback ~~~~~~~~

We had been waiting for hours for a ship to arrive .
We were placed on rocks.

Before one of the siren girls spotted a small boat arriving.
I'd never felt so nervous , as soon as the ship was in a meters distance.

We began to circle it , and we started to sing calling the sailors .
We were ten siren girls and there were eleven sailors .

I kept my eyes on one ,
And he did the same he stared at me as if I was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.

I sang and sang with the rest

Until I stopped. Not wanting to continue anymore , I didn't want to trap him.

We just stared at each other for minute .

Before he spoke
" Leave us we mean no harm to you " he said loud enough for my ears

I shook my head as a no .
I couldn't leave them I thought
I'd be a disappointment to my family.

" Please " he spoke so gently

But I couldn't bring myself to harm him.

So I did what I thought was right

" Girls I want you all to return to the palace , I can handle this on my own " I spoke whilst still looking at him.

" Are you sure your grace " they spoke not wanting to anger me

" Yes. " I spoke with determination

As soon as they left he spoke

" Are you a queen or something " he asked 
He looked so fascinated by all of this

" A princess" I spoke in a quiet voice

Panic was written all over the other sailors face
" Your gonna get us killed , why are  you talking to that thing " they said keeping their distance from me .

" She's not going to harm us " he spoke looking at me with a soft smile .
The other sailors didn't believe him and begun to sail away from me .

But he continued to look at me before finally saying
" Good bye beautiful  "

I felt a wierd sensation in my heart .
My cold heart felt warm ......

And then after that I always visited the shore to meet him and he did the same.

End of flashback

" Wow " I had no word's

She laughed at my reaction as her eye's glistened

" What did you tell your mother " I said

" Well , that the sailors escaped and i couldn't kill them , she was extremely mad at me but it was worth it " she spoke shaking her head .

This was all so confusing in my head

" What about my mother , did she love father " I asked

" Sweetheart your mother is a very strong , business head women
She thinks rationally " she whispered

" So she didn't love him " I was disappointed and I don't know why

" No bu- " before she could continue the door burst open
And mother stood there worry written all over her face .

She came towards me before grabbing my arm roughly.

" She needs to go to her instructor " she spoke looking at grandmother

And grandmother just laughed lightly
But I didn't want to go , I had so many questions roaming mind.

" Of course, come on Dey listen to your mother " she said gesturing me to go

Her and I weren't stupid we knew exactly why mother came barging in like that , she didn't want grandma filling my head with nonsense . Well that's what she called it but I knew these story's were precious to grandma.
