Chapter 3: Magic Isle

[Bahiyyih]

We snuck into the wet tunnel. I think it probably used to be used for the water project they set up years ago. My cousin.........

No, we can't think he died down here. The precious dolphin of the family couldn't...

Byeol, oblivious to Bahiyyih's thoughts, commented, "Didn't Mrs. Kim mention that this place was haunted?"

"Yeah, apparently there is a mirror hidden somewhere on the school grounds. It's a whole legend, but I'll summarize it for you."

A century ago, seven boys ruled the continents; Kim Namjoon, Jeon Jeongguk, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Min Yoongi, Kim Seokjin, and Kim Taehyung.

"But wait, isn't that BTS though?"

Bahiyyih smirked. "Don't interrupt, and you'll understand the story."

"The seven brothers ruled over Earth: Namjoon ruled what is now North America; Jeongguk ruled South America; Hoseok ruled Europe; Taehyung ruled Asia; Jimin ruled Africa; Seokjin ruled Australia, and Yoongi ruled Antarctica.

All other islands were considered under the rule of either the sea people-aka the merpeople- or the sky people-otherwise known as the dragon shifters. 

One special isle, named Eternity by some, the Magic Isle by others, was a breathtaking sight. Many have described it as paradise in its true form. It was a nightmare in disguise, though. The person who ruled the isle-Prince Choi-was a dragon-mer, the only one. 

He could transform into a breathtaking silver dragon, a silver polar bear, and a powerful merman. He was the son of the Sea Queen and Dragon King, so he had the title of Prince. He had four friends, who he gave each power over an element: Kai had the power of Air; Soowin had the power of Water; Reyon-jun had the power of Earth, and Tae-ya had the power of Ice and Fire. 

Choi himself had the power over Aether, along with his best friend, Astrum.

Astrum was very powerful, and was the secret younger sister of the Seven. 

One day, Astrum was discovered by her brothers. They never knew they had a younger sister, and had an arguement with the Five Elementals. They began fighting with magic. The Seven each were practiced in the art of basic magic-powerful, yet simple. They were fighting harshly, and both sides were using curse spells.

This part of the story remains unclear, but Astrum was caught in the crossfire, and she died-leaving her to be reborn around 20 years ago-around your birthday, Byeol!

Then the world was struck in chaos, and the Seven began to fade. Without Astrum, who created magic in the first place, the very essence of the earth began to unravel. The Seven were tied to the Earth, and after they faded, they were reborn as BTS. Powerless, BTS began a new life as singers.

The Five Elementals had also been hit with a curse. They were chained to the Isle, and the only way in and out was through a labryinth inside a mirror. They had Choi cast an amnesia spell, and they appeared in present day Earth-but without their memories.

Here, the legend becomes more recent. BTS still attempted to bring out their magical powers, but never succeeded. 

By the time BTS realized that they would never get their powers back-not without Astrum to be the Source of magic anyway-the school was founded.

Eight people-some called them Stray Kids, they are also the band that you stan, Byeol-they founded the school on top of the only entrance to Eternity. This tunnel, I think that its part of the tunnel that leads to wherever the mirror is. And after the mirror, is a labryinth.

Many people have been lost in this maze. TXT got lost in this maze in the mirror..............You know Kai, my cousin, right? (Byeol nodded) He actually is part of TXT. And TXT..........are the Five Elementals"

Byeol was Jungshook. All the revelations-the fact that BAHIYYIH'S COUSIN WAS THE ONE AND ONLY HUENING KAI, the fact that TXT was lost in the VERY PLACE BYEOL WANTED TO VISIT.......Byeol couldn't stop fangirling over them right that moment.

[Third Person now]

After they walked for a while, the tunnel led out into a breathtaking forest, with lush canopies of green and blue leaves, and the beautiful silver flowers blooming on the trees. The night sky was also amazing, with glowing white stars and streaks of green and blue across the violet and black sky. There were a few wispy clouds that breezed across the swirl of colors like a feather over water.

The entire sight was worth walking through the musty, dusty, crusty, and rusty tunnel that seemed like it was made for that Drama Queen, Wit-ka, and her henchdogs.

Byeol saw a large willow tree with soft blue and teal leaves and a shining amber brown trunk. The leaves brushed over the lake, the wind blowing them lightly across to make small ripples appear across the water. 

"Hey, let's go over there and skip stones!"

Bahiyyih sighed and said, "Fineeee."

Byeol immediatly ran over to the willow. At its roots, she tripped over a large rock and fell into a hollow in the trunk of the willow.

She turned on the flashlight on her phone, and screamed extremely loudly. And when I mean loudly, I mean LOUDLY. Like if you add Kai's dolphin screams plus you shrieking your head off and add the Hyung line screaming plus Taehyun shrieking loud. Yes, that loud.

"Hiyyih, RUN! I SAW A........"
