(Poem)

Through the shadows

A secret awaits

To destroy your trust

To manipulate your fate

Run away, but I'll follow

Through the darkness of tomorrow

So stay close to your friends

Even closer to the ends

Of the life that you've been living

And the sorrow I've been giving

So meet me soon

No God can stop me

From chasing you too

[Choi (y/n) Byeol, Day 1 of School]

I walked into school with a nervous smile on my face. Well, it felt more like a grimace, but I felt uneasy because of past experiences I've had at new schools. A few girls-y'know, those typical weirdo high school bullies-sneered at me as I walked past. One girl even took her precious and very important time to angle her ankle so I would've tripped. And yes, I'm being sarcastic. Luckily, my neighbor,  Bahiyyih managed to kick her ankle so hard, it probably left a bruise. The girl very dramatically said, "Oh, no, my precious ANKLE!!!!" and all of her cronies simutaniously glared at Huening as if she'd snapped the ankle in half. I snickered, then walked over and gave the drama queens a bandage. I couldn't leave bad impressions on the first day of school, right? 🙃.

Hiyyih nudged my foot as I wrote the final answers to my math pre-test. She whispered, "Are you going to come over after your singing and piano class?" I whispered, "Depends on if Mr. Musika breaks another piano or not." Bahiyyih started to giggle, and our teacher, Mrs. Kim, began to shush us and she whispered, "You have to start working, or else I'll be in trouble with the students!" That only made Hiyyih start to giggle more, and she ended up having to stand outside with an apple in her mouth. When she came back, all that was left was the core. I snorted. It reminded me too much of when they'd first met, in front of her house.

FLASHBACK:

Byeol was standing in her new room, sadly looking at the boxes full of framed photos of TXT. It had been three years since they dissappeared, and four years since her mother had gone to Seoul and never came back. Suddenly, a squeal could be heard from downstairs. It sounded familiar like- no, it couldn't be. Bahiyyih had left for Jeju Island five years ago. Her best friend couldn't be at Seoul, right? But, to Byeol's amazement, a very happy and noisy squealing could be heard as she ran downstairs to their front lawn. Bahiyyih was jumping up and down and squealing like a loud dolphin. Byeol handed her an apple, and said, "Eat that before you start choking on you're squeals." Bahiyyih then stuffed the entire apple into her mouth, then spit out the core. They all started laughing, and Byeol forgot her sadness for a while.

(A/n):

Hiiiiii, please tell me if you like the story and I'm very sorry for any grammar mistakes. Please tell me if there is anything I should go back and fix, and anything you want me to add.

See ya (even if you're reading this a year later)
