The rain pelted down in sheets, soaking the ground, turning the earth beneath her feet into a thick, unforgiving mud. But it wasn't the rain that concerned her. She could feel it—the pull of the water, the weight of it in the air, the dampness in every breath she took. She was alive in this storm, more alive than She'd felt in months. The darkness of the night cloaked the Japanese base in shadows, but she didn't need to see them to know where they were. She could sense them—every drop of sweat trickling down their necks, every shallow breath fogging the masks they wore.
She slipped through the gate, the guards oblivious to the mist that crept in around them, swirling at their feet. The moment one of them shifted, alerting to the unnatural movement, she struck. A flick of her wrist, and the moisture in the air solidified, freezing the droplets mid-air before they sharpened into icy spikes. They pierced the first man's neck, his eyes wide with shock before the life drained out of them.
The others barely had time to react. She raised her hand, feeling the surge of power as she commanded the water, pulling it from the very air itself. A wave crashed down upon them, the water moving with a mind of its own—my mind. It struck with the force of a tsunami, smashing bones, drowning cries before they could be uttered.
She moved like the current, swift and unyielding, slipping between the buildings. The base was a maze of corridors and hidden rooms, but she could feel the wetness of the earth below, the humidity in the air guiding her. Her enemies hid in the shadows, but they couldn't hide from her.
Another group of masked men appeared in the distance, their movements synchronized, deadly. But they underestimated her. They always did. She stepped forward, feeling the water pooling beneath her feet, my power rising with the storm. She raised her arms, and the rain responded. It surged upwards, twisting into serpentine shapes, before she sent it crashing down on them with a thought. They didn't stand a chance—the water sliced through them like a blade, leaving only silence in its wake.
Breathing heavily, she surveyed the carnage. Bodies lay strewn across the muddy ground, their masks shattered, the rain mingling with the blood that pooled around them. She clenched her fists, feeling the power thrumming just beneath her skin, the water still dancing at her command.
But this was just the beginning. The man she sought was deeper inside, hidden away in the heart of the base. And she wouldn't stop until I found him, until she brought him down like all the rest.
With a final glance at the fallen, she turned and disappeared into the night, the storm raging in her wake.
The rain fell in a steady, relentless rhythm, drenching the neon-lit streets of Tokyo in a cold, shimmering veil. y/n moved through the downpour with purpose, her black trench coat clinging to her lithe frame, droplets sliding off the brim of her wide-brimmed hat. The job had gone smoothly—clean, efficient, without a trace left behind. The underground crime group that had plagued the city for months was now nothing more than a memory, wiped out by her hand.
