Strings Pulled; Huaze Lei

chapter 1: F4

I take a deep breath as i breathe in my new school, Ming De University. I hear cameras snap and flash as my driver pulls up to the curb.

Great.

People must've found out I was coming today, just what i needed.

I thank my driver and i get out of the car, immediately swarmed by paparazzi. i hurry up the steps and practically run to a familiar short haired girl standing next to two people i don't recognize.
"Shancai!!"

Shancai turns around as her face breaks out into a big grin and she opens her arms and runs to me laughing.

" I can't believe it, you're finally here!!" she squeezes me into a tight bone-crushing hug, nearly knocking me over.

"Ugh i missed you too, but.. you're kinda killing me here " i laugh as she steps back

" Oh my bad i'm just so excited!! Can you believe it? We're finally going to the same school! These are my friends Qinghe and Li Zhen, they're freshman's in the nutrition department as well!"

"You're so pretty, it's so nice to meet you!" Li Zhen said smiling

"Woahhh... you're so pretty!!" the boy Qinghe agreed in a daze

I look down and smile

"Thank you-"

"Is that Meilin Ling?"

"What's she doing with those freshman?"

"Why's she here? I thought she was in New York?"

I turn to Shancai throwing my arm around her

"C'mon let's go checkout the campus "

We get inside and start finding all our classes after a meeting held with a special guest. We walk to finish exploring when we hear high pitched squealing and people running frantically

"F4!!!!"

"Oh my gosh they're so hot!"

"I can't believe they're seniors! Next year's gonna suck!"

Shancai and I share confused glances and make our way to where all the screaming commotion was coming from. Hands started shoving us trying to see whatever everyone was freaking out about.

Shancai was shoved and her phone fell to the ground getting kicked across the floor farther and farther. Crawling under everyone, Shancai reaches for her phone when a green shoe steps directly on it, breaking it.

I try to reach her as she gets up as rushes for the boys who stepped on her phone but quickly i lose her in the crowd and all hope of finding her is gone.

Walking around the school I finally spot Shancai talking to a short haired girl i don't recognize, as i walk up i catch part of their conversation

"-they're the four senior students at Mingde. Their average height is 185cm. They're all very handsome, talented and outgoing. Most importantly, at school, they all excel in their respective fields."
