"I don't like him." Seokjin's voice is loud and clear behind you. He pops a handful of popcorn into his mouth and chews aggressively loud, knowing this would annoy you as much as he is annoyed at you right now. You roll your eyes as you lock the main door shut, hoping your boyfriend who has just left didn't hear him.

"I know, you tell me that every time he comes over," You sigh, defeated. You sit back down on the sofa next to your roommate and take the popcorn bowl from his lap, placing it between the two of you and taking a handful to your mouth. "I'm sure he knows too," you turn to face him, expecting him to show even a little remorse while you chew and blink repeatedly while staring at him. Instead, you see Jin's luscious lips curve into a grin before he huffs and crosses his arms on his chest.

"Oh he knows, I made it very clear to him," He shrugs his shoulders, your mouth falling to the floor as he laughs with pride.

"Seokjin! What did you do to him?" You are now beyond irritated, his immature actions proving to you once again that it is impossible to have them get along.

"Nothing, I just told him I don't think he is right for you. You deserve so much better and he knows it...you know this too" He shrugs his broad shoulders before turning to you, slowly eating more popcorn, a frown plastered on his face as he chews.

"Jin...He is my boyfriend." you plea with hopeful eyes.

"And I'm your best friend, what's your point?" He blinks a few times, his body and tone cold towards you before you grab his arm desperately, hoping this will make him soften up.

And it does work. On the inside, Seokjin is dying to give in to your pleading, but he knows it's not a good idea, not when his feelings and your friendship are on the line.

"That you are both very important to me and it would mean the world to me if you at least tried to get along?" you curve your lips into a faint smile, feeling your heart beating faster thanks to the proximity. He hesitates for a minute before speaking again, his hand hovering yours as he strokes your hand lovingly before smacking your hands off his, making you gasp at the sudden pain.

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Maybe get someone who treats you like a girlfriend and not a maid; then maybe I'll consider being nice to them." He stands up annoyed and leaves to his room, not wanting to fight with you again about his 'unfair' feelings towards your boyfriend.

You hear his door slam shut which is followed by the sound of his TV, the same movie you were watching in the living room is heard through the thin walls of the apartment, letting you know he was not coming back out to finish the movie with you.

You can't hold it against him, because deep down you know Jin is right, you do deserve better. You've been dating this guy for a few months now, but he got too comfortable too quickly, and everyone can tell you are not in love with him in the slightest, especially Jin, your roommate and best friend.

You guys have been friends ever since high school. And now, eight years later, you both live together while you are finishing your university studies. You've always had a very interesting dynamic since you seem to share a very similar personality and you are very grateful for that. You truly love your best friend, and you mean it in every single way.

Yes, you love him.

You once confessed to Jin back in your sophomore year of high school. You had a huge crush on him, but things didn't work out back then because he had a girlfriend and well, you were best friends.

You are not sure if you ever got over him, and to be honest, waking up everyday to him having breakfast with a puffy face and tangled hair makes you fall in love with him more every single day. It takes a lot from you not to spill your guts and tell him how you really feel, which is why you decided to start dating other guys, eventually ending up with Minho, your current boyfriend.
