During the hour, Alissa had been paying no attention. She began to remember all the memories of her childhood, memories similar to what had just happened.

When Alissa was four, she had accidentally had stepped on a frog, squishing it and killing it. Little Alissa bawled and held the bleeding frog in her hands, wishing that it would come back to life. When she set the dead frog on the ground, it sprung back to life and hopped away, which had both made Alissa extremely happy and horrified.

Then, there was the time in middle school when she was getting picked on by the eigth graders and she had broken one of the kids fingers without touching them.

More recently, Alissa's dad had baked her a cake for her seventh birthday, and on his way to deliver it to her, he tripped on the stairs and the cake had froze in place, which gave Alissa time to grab it.

"Alissa, are you paying attention?" Mrs. Williams asked, mid sentence. Alissa blinked and glanced up, nodding. She knew about how Christopher Columbus found America. He was stupid enough to think he landed on India, when in all reality, he landed no where near that. Not even close.

The bell rang, dismissing the class for their next period. Alissa grabbed her things and quickly walked out of the room. She only had a couple more hours of school, then to the library. Her mission was to figure out what just happened, and how it happened.
