I took off towards the forest surrounding the school. Heading to the pack house as fast as I could. I bolted up the stairs to my room and grabbed a backpack I swiped a few shirts, jeans, shorts and a necklace. The necklace was a half heart. Peyton had the other half of the heart. Before my mother died, she bought the necklaces when she knew that she was going to have another child.
I shoved all of it into the backpack, sprinted out of my room and sped into Peyton's room. I grabbed a few pieces of her clothing and took off out of the room. I got to the stairs. Breathing heavily, I clambered down the stairs and ran out of the house. I cried out in pain and called for my wolf to heal me. She whined and came forward, taking control of my body. She healed my wounds before giving control back to me. Afterwards, I hitchhiked to the middle school to get Peyton. I limped to the office signing her out , the staff called her out of class. I waited for awhile before she came running into the office. I hurried her out of the school and followed her as she went to the forest line.
"What's wrong Ally?" She questioned. I stopped and stared at her as my eyes watered slightly.
"We're leaving the pack." I stated calmly but my voice cracked at remembering why. Without further questioning we shifted and ran from our old lives.
'Can we take a.... break?' Peyton asked through mind link.
'Yeah... we can up here,' I replied, panting heavily.
We trotted into a cave that I saw. I dropped our bags inside once we entered the cave. We sat down onto the stone floor, shifting back to our human forms. I took clothes out of our bags and threw a dress towards Peyton. After we dressed ourselves, I looked to my sister. She was an innocent girl and I wanted to keep her safe.
"I'll keep watch. You should rest. " I told Peyton.
"You need to rest as well, Allison." She mumbled, yawning softly. Without any any complaining from me, Peyton fell asleep.
Soon after, my eyelids began to feel heavy and everything around me went dark. Without wanting to, I fell asleep in the dark and cold cave.
Naomi's POV
'Hey, Keith want to go on a run with Chloe, Levi, and me?' I asked my brother, Keith.
'No! I have paperwork to do!' He shouted angrily.
'Okay jeez, calm down!' I said calmly as the link was broken. I looked between my two best friends, Chloe and Levi.
"So what did he say?" Levi asked, tilting his head slightly like a dog.
"He said no." I replied to them, sighing softly. Levi shook his head in response with a slight frown.
"Come on let's just go." I said, waving for them to follow.
We walked walked down the hall to the grand stairs which which led to the front door. A grin grew on my lips as I darted down the stairs. Heading to the door, I got there first. My clothes shred off of my body as I shifted into my gray wolf.
'Yay!' My wolf howled in joy.
'Why are you so excited? I let you out a few days ago.' I laughed at her which in turn made her cut off the link. My ears perked up when I heard a bark off to my right. I turned in that direction to see a small, light brown wolf, standing next to a much larger blonde wolf. I nodded for them run before taking off myself.
We ran for awhile. It felt amazing when the wind rushed through my fur. I nipped at Chloe's side before a scent caught my attention. It wasn't from anyone in our pack and after a few moments, I realized what it was. 'Levi, do you guys smell that?' I asked questioned Levi, slowing down to a trot.
I glanced over to him as he tested the air. A low growl left his throat, 'Yeah, it smells like rouges.' I nodded my head in reply.
'Let's go find them.' I growled back, shaking out my fur. I leapt forward and started running. Soon after, Chloe and Levi followed after me. We slowed when the the scent got stronger. Levi and I shifted into human form and clothed ourselves when we all reached a cave. We walked towards the cave entrance and peeked in. It was so dark we couldn't even see a single thing.
"Whoever you are come out now!" Levi growled. We heard a few whimpers and the clicking of nails and then saw a huge white wolf with light blue eyes and a small dark gray wolf with blue eyes.
"Shift!" Levi commanded the two wolves. The sound of cracking bones ignited the silence as two beautiful girls stand naked in front of us. The girl with grey eyes whispers to the other one something and then the one with brown eyes goes back into the cave. She came back out with two dresses and a pair of underwear. They put them on and look at us as if we were going to kill them.
"What are your names?" I asked gently. They look at each other and the one with grey eyes answers.
"I'm Allison and this is my sister Peyton and wh-who are you?" She stuttered, obviously terrified of us.
"I'm Naomi," I pointed to the brunette beside me, "This is Chloe and her mate who's the beta of our pack, Levi." I answered, pointing to Levi who was next to Chloe.
"Wh-what pack are you from?" She stuttered while asking her question as though she was scared of the answer. I turned to Levi to see if he was going to tell them. He glanced at me and gestured for me to tell them. I sighed and spoke up.
"We are from the Shadow Moon pack."
