*Jebediah's POV*
Today is the day of the much anticipated launch Jeb, bill, and bob are for the first time ever sharing the same emotion, Excitement. The kerbals take the elevator up to the launch quarters. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...Nothing, the counting just stopped no one dared move. There was a loud explosion and then after what seemed like forever the countdown came back. 5...4...3...2...1...Liftoff! Looking out the window I noticed something very strange, we weren't moving then over the loud speaker again came ¨They have cleared the tower! but there was no cheering. Soon after. I got a phone call on the wired phone that is supposed to be disconnected on launch. Through the phone I could hear the mission coordinator."You guys ready for launch you have five minutes to final countdown last chance to abort"said the coordinator John. "We are go for launch" I said back.I heard the countdown again, this time in reverse."1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 nwodtnuoc lanif" after some time of thinking I realized that had said final countdown in reverse! The phone rang again "one minute to final countdown"said John. I checked all bay doors and hatches. Once seated again I noticed on the screen in front of me there was a small warning light flashing. I reached over and tapped it. The image it projected was very blurry but I could just make out what it said. With the countdown blaring in the background of my head suddenly in my mind all went silent as my eyes first laid sight on the message."Abandon Ship - Origin - orion's belt." Terrified I turn my key and smash the red abort button with my fist as hard as I humanly can but it's too late." THEY HAVE CLEARED THE TOWER"
