Jennie woke up from her sleep with the sound of metal being hit. It was some work being done somewhere. But it was too loud to have been coming from anywhere else but her house. She sighed. It was a Saturday, only one of the two days she could really sleep in. And the fact that her mom chose today of all days to have some work in the house get done, was beyond her on many levels.

She sat up in bed and sighed. She was 23, her dad had passed away when she was 20, and ever since then, she and her mom have only had each other as support. She decided there was no way she was going to get any more sleep with the noise, so she got out of bed and went downstairs, following the sound.

"Morning," Jennie said.

"Morning, Jennie," her mom said.

Jennie took a seat at the kitchen island table and her eyes shifted to a body that was lying down under the sink.

"Sorry, was the noise too much?" her mom Chaerin asked.

"Oh no, it was just alright," Jennie said sarcastically. Sarcasm wasn't new to Chaerin. She had gotten used to it.

"Well, there was a leak, and I only had today to fix it, there's tomorrow too, but I might be called into the hospital, so I decided it was better to do it today.

Jennie didn't respond, she just poured herself a cup of coffee.

There was some banging again against a pipe and then the plumber reached their hand down to their tool belt and took a wrench out and continued their work. Jennie noted the navy blue overalls. She noted the toolbox beside their hip. She drew her attention to the newspaper on the table and picked it up to read some. Just then the plumber slid out from under the sink and sat up.

It was a woman.

"Ma'am, I have it fixed, you can try the tap out now and there won't be a leak," she said as she stood up.

Jennie took a moment to let her eyes roam the woman. The woman was gorgeous, and she had a thing for women in overalls. It was no surprise to Jennie that she was a bit turned on by looking at a woman doing a job that was predominantly taken up by men.

She suddenly became aware of the plumber's eyes on her. And she grew conscious of what she was wearing. It was a light blue pajama shirt and shorts. No bra and her buttons weren't all the way buttoned. The woman just smiled at her, nodded and then continued to watch Chaerin inspect the work. The woman explained to Chaerin what she did. Jennie smirked to herself knowing that her mom didn't necessarily care what was done, but only cared that it was done.

"Great, so this is done then, how should I pay you, uh?" Chaerin asked.

"Jisoo, my name's Jisoo, and you can pay by Cash please," the woman replied.

"Let me just go get my wallet," Chaerin said before leaving the room and leaving Jennie and Jisoo there awkwardly.

Jennie noticed Jisoo looking everywhere but at her. She then fidgeted with the tools on her waist. She dropped something and picked it up. She cleared her throat and then looked at Jennie.

"Beautiful house," Jisoo said.

"Thanks," Jennie said.

Jisoo nodded, smiled and looked away. Jennie kicked herself in her mind for not saying something immediately after that.

Jennie cleared her throat. She was about to say something when Chaerin returned. She gave Jisoo the cash and then led her out of the room to the door. On her way out of the kitchen, Jisoo put her cap on, tipped it towards Jennie, smiled and walked out with Chaerin.
