(Chapter 138) Guardian Deity.

Lucia ascends into the air and summons a bow, its' tether shining and its' metal mesmerizing.

NOR: Now it's getting fun.

Noire smashes her axe into the ground and propells herself towards Lucia. She swings her axe but Lucia waves her wings, throwing Noire away into the ground. Lucia draws her bow and multiple others appear in the sky. Noire gets back up. Lucia releases the barrage of arrows. Noires' face gets distorted. Numerous tentacles appear from underground and block the incoming attack. Noire raises herself into the sky with her tentacles.

LCI: Simply gaining height won't be enough. My control over the sky is absolute.

Noire smiles demonically and throws her axe towards Lucia. She dodges and flies towards Noire, firing multiple arrows. Noire dodges and jumps at Lucia, grabbing onto her wings but is quickly taken care of as Lucia delivers a punch to Noires' chin.

NOR: *spit* Forgot about something?
LCI: Hihi, no.

Lucia catches Noires' axe barehanded ,which was boomeranging around to hit her from behind. Noire watches in shock, seeing her axe gets so easily stopped by her, fueling her hate even more.

NOR: I might've underestimated you, but it seems like you're more fun than I thought!
LCI: What a wicked creature.

Noire charges up her energy onto her feet and propells herself at an incredible speed, completely zooming past Lucia and grabbing back her axe. Lucia turns around and aims at the airborne Noire.

LCI: No where to run.
NOR: Try me.

Lucia fires a storm of arrows, but they all miss. Her expression is filled with fear. Noire disappears and leaves no trace. Suddenly, Lucia gets a wicked feeling on her back and turns around. Noire appears out of nowhere and swings her axe but Lucia reacts in time, shielding herself with her wings. She falls crashing into the ground as her wings are not capable of holding her in the air anymore. Noire lands onto the ground and laughs demonically. Lucia forces herself back onto her feet.

NOR: Your kind just continues to amaze me! Every single battle, I feel my power returning to me slowly and slowly, and eventually, the grand knight will fall to my hands and I'll have absolute control over this world! No one can stop me!
LCI: Ah, so that's your goal.
NOR: Hmm? What were you expecting? That was my goal the first time as well!

Lucia draws her bow one last time. She concentrates all of her energy into the tip of the arrow. Noire clenches her axe tight.

LCI: Angelic Piercing Bolt!

Lucia releases the last arrow. It travels through the battlefield, disintegrating everything in its' path. It lights up the nightsky. Noire energizes her axe and rips through the fabric of reality. The arrow passes through. Noire smirks but suddenly gets blown back and crashes into a tree. She coughs up massive amounts of blood. Lucia drops to her knees.

LCI: My faith is in you, harbinger.

Lucia drops dead and Noire is left shocked at what just happened.

NOR: *cough* Your attack was that strong that even in my parallel reality where damage is decreased to no value, it still caused this. Dammit, I still have a long way to go.

Noire stands up and heals her wounds, before setting off to the next objective.
