Sheena couldn't sleep at all last night. She kept thinking about Rin, and what relationship he had with her dad. She demanded answers and that's what she was going to receive.
Once it was lunch time, Sheena skipped over to her friend's lunch table, not paying attention to her at all, and went straight for Rin.
" Hello, Rin. "
" What is it, sweetie? "
" Why do you assume that I want something? I just want to sit with you. "
" You're lying. "
" Okay, you're right. "
" So what is it? "
" About what you said yesterday, what did you mean when you said my father told you not to tell me? "
" I told you, I can't tell you. "
" Why?? It's not like he can punish you if you tell me. "
He sighed.
" I'll tell you, but not here. Come to my house, I'll walk you after school. "
" What? I can't do that. "
" I guess you'll never know. "
Sheena sighed in annoyance.
" Alright. "

After school, Sheena walked with Rin to his house. Sheena was nervous, but she wanted answers, even though this might be a stupid idea. Sheena glanced over at Rin as they were walking. She thought he was kinda attractive, it would be great if he wasn't crazy.
" Yes, sweetie? " Rin said when he noticed Sheena's stare.
She blushed when she realized she was staring.
" N-nothing. "
He chuckled as he stared at Sheena's red cheeks.
Once they arrived they were welcomed by his mom.
" Oh, you've brought a friend, who's this? "
" It's Sheena. "
" Sheena?? Oh my, hello there, I'm glad you came! "
Sheena smiled at her.
Rin grabbed Sheena's hand and led her to his room.
" Why couldn't we... sit on the couch in the living room? "
" What's wrong with being in here? "
" Because! Ugh never mind just tell me. "
" Tell you what? "
" Stop stalling! The reason why I'm here. "
He sighed.
" I guess you won't give up unless I tell you... "
~ Flashback ~
Rin was only eight when this occurred. He was playing with Sheena outside in Sheena's backyard until their play date was over. Sheena's dad offered to drive him home and they both hopped into his car.
" Hey, Rin. "
" Yes sir? "
" My time is almost up, I'm going to need you to protect Sheena. "
" What do you mean sir? "
" But not in this state, you're still too innocent. "
Rin noticed that they were going in the right direction. Instead, they stopped at a different house.
" Get out. "
" But sir... This isn't my house. "
Mr. Hizuki got out of the car and dragged Rin into the house. He dragged him into a room and told him to sit in the chair. Rin did as told, he was really scared. Mr. Hizuki strapped Rin into the chair.
" This is the only way Rin... Sheena needs to be protected when I'm gone. "
" W-what are you going to do? "
" I'm going to drive you crazy. "

" I'm not going to explain what he did, its too...too much for you. "
" Oh my god...Rin...Are you lying to me? "
" Of course not, how could I make up such a story? "
" Rin... I'm so sorry. "
" Sheena, it's not your fault. Good came out of this, now I'm not too weak to protect you. I love you, Sheena. "
Sheena didn't know what to say, so she kept quiet.
" Do you want to spend the night? "
" N-no! "
" Then you should get going. "
" Wait. "
" Yes, sweetie. "
" Let's be friends. "
" Huh? I thought you would be avoiding me. "
"It's not your fault that you're like this... I'm going to help you get back to normal! You don't need to kill people in order to protect me. Nonetheless, I appreciate you Rin, so let's be friends. "
" To be honest, I would love to be more than friends, but being friends is a start, and I'm happy with that. "
