Wuorinia was a peaceful kingdom located on an island named Sar. Yet this peace came undone as the government grew ravenous for money. And the perfect source of money could be only one thing - war with a weaker kingdom. There was just one thing in the way - the religion that the whole kingdom professed. After Daikoma, the religion that everyone believed in, was banned, citizens started to protest. But it only led to worse events.
Soon enough, the queen of Wuorinia decided to shoot or arrest anyone who dared to protest. Of course, there were people who managed to escape before the shooting started. But there were also those who didn't make it in time, including Wilhelm, Azura's father.
That day, seventeen-year-old Azura was waiting for him in their small cottage. But Wilhelm never came back. Soon enough, she found out about the whole case from other people. From that day on, Azura hid from people under her dark coat and steampunk-like cat mask. But every week, she planned to release her dad from jail.
The citizens of Wuorinia, who lived in poorer villages, knew about Azura and her plans. Yet they hadn't told anyone since they were with her. The government didn't stop at just banning religions and protests. If they heard that anyone was planning something against them or was attending illegal meetings about Daikoma, they would immediately raid their houses with weapons. It was very dangerous, as they were even capable of murder.
Yes, there were many reports on Azura from people who were sticking with the government's orders in hopes of getting some money in return. Yet Azura managed to escape every single time. They didn't know how she looked, because every time she escaped, she wore her dark coat and cat mask. That's why Azura was safe on the streets when walking around in her regular outfit.
And that was ordinary in Wuorinia - trying to survive in a messed-up world where there was no freedom, and everyone hoped for a change.
And who knows, maybe that change would soon come?
