1:00pm.
Akshara adjusted the digital watch on her wrist as she smoothened out the crinkles on her outfit. Her tote bag slung on one side of her shoulders as she carried Abhimanyu's patient file in her hand, clutching it so hard he fingers hurt and her knuckles began to turn pale.
She adjusted her rear view mirror and practiced showing her teeth or smiling as it was called.
The first try barred a bit too much teeth, she almost looked like a vampire.
Her second attempt was a bit more fruitful with her forced smile being a bit better.
Stop it Akshara! Stop being so weird! He is a patient and you are his doctor! Act like it! Forget about what transpired between the two of you. You are here to keep it professional. Strictly professional.

Akshara smoothened out her tote bag, took a deep breath and pressed the doorbell.
10...9...8...
No response.
Frowning, she rang the doorbell again.
No response.
"You? What are you doing here?" A voice called out to her from behind.
Akshara turned around ans came face to face with the guy from the club. Neil, she'd heard Abhimanyu call him. His manager? Friend?
"I..." She looked down at the file she had gripped in her hands. "I am Dr. Akshara Goenka. Here to see my patient, Abhimanyu Birla."
"You? You are his doctor? Oh man, the bastard is going to love this." Neil chuckled. "But why are you standing outside?"
"I...I am ringing the doorbell but no one is answering." She explained.
Neil sighed, cursing under his breath as he stepped up beside Akshara. He rummaged through his pocket and took out a keychain with 2-3 keys on it. He put one key in the keyhole, turned it, whilst punching in a few numbers onto the electronic padlock.
Akshara heard the door click just before it fell open.
"After you." He smiled at Akshara, outstretching his hand.

Abhimanyu's house was huge. Huge was an understatement. It was massive. For a underground fighter, he looked to be a billionaire. Akshara was busy scanning the house, when Neil stopped a passing house help.
"Why did no one open the door, Charlie?"
"Baba threatened us to not open the door at any cost or else he will fire us." Charlie replied.
"Where is your Baba now?"
"In the living room."
Akshara and Neil looked at each other before he waved the house help away. Akshara couldn't help smirk at the thought that Abhimanyu really did hate doctors.
"Come, let me take you to him."
Akshara nodded her head and followed Neil.

"The doctor is here." Kanta, another house help informed Abhimanyu.
"Goddamnit! Who opened the door?!" Abhimanyu exclaimed. "Weren't you given
"I did." Neil answered for Kanta, walking inside to where Abhimanyu sat in the middle of the living room, scrolling aimlessly through the television channels, his brain occupied with nothing but thoughts of his Firecracker.
