The limousine doesn't draw a lot of attention on a campus where over half the students are from wealthy and/or famous families. It isn't even the only luxury car picking up students to enjoy their week off of school. It however made Sky, who is a scholarship student, stop short.
Seeing his hesitation, Rain grabs his hand and pulls him up to the car where Phayu and Pai have gone ahead to settle all their luggage into the trunk.
The driver who greets them, is a pretty young woman that exudes professionalism in her dress and mannerisms.
"Sky, Rain, this is Namtan, who works for our father. Tan, this is Sky and Rain." Pai says.
"Pleased to meet you," Sky and Rain tell her in unison and she gives them both kind smiles before Phayu opens the back door for them.
Sky may not be familiar with limousines but this one seems particularly luxurious. With a long curved seat, a mini fridge that has been stocked with waters, juices, and snacks just for Sky and Rain, and a separate music system with earbuds for each passenger and two flat screen monitors.
Once they are all settled, Rain asks, "Will your father like us?"
"Pakin will adore the both of you, I promise." Phayu tells him and pulls him into his lap causing Rain to giggle. Sky rolls his eyes and glares at Pai when he reaches out to try the same trick. Pai just smiles at him with a sheepish grin and holds up his hands.
It was a four hour trip and if Sky ends up falling asleep with his head pillowed on Pai's thigh, then that was just because Sky was so tired. That's what he would have told Pai if had seen him grinning at Phayu like the cat who got the cream. Phayu just rolled his eyes and readjusted a sleeping Rain to be more comfortable.
Even Rain, who grew up in what can only be described as a mansion, is awed by the house. This is closer to being a palace. The wrought iron gates lead into a grounds that is immaculately kept, the house itself is a wonder. White stone that almost glows in the moonlight is the house is three stories with wings that wrap around to the back. Every one of its hundreds of arched windows seem to be glowing with light.
"How many people live here?" Rain asks in awe.
"Dad and we two are the main family. Namtan and Chai both have a residence here as well." Phayu explains.
"Principal Chai?" Sky asks in surprise.
Phayu nods, "He is dad's right hand man, he is only acting as principal until the board can find a good person to put in his place, one that won't be easily swayed by money. Besides those two there are twenty guards that work for Chai and a team of secretaries and clerks that work for Tan. Then there are the servants for the house and grounds. I think around 300 people in all."
"Are they all vampires?" Rain whispers with wide eyes.
Phayu nods, "Some of them have been with Pakin for 100s of years like Chai and Tan."
"Wow," Rain isn't the least bit perturbed at the thought of entering a house full of vampires. If anything he is excited.
They are led to an elegant large office where a middle aged handsome man greets them.
"Dad, this is Rain and Sky, guys this is our Father Pakin." Pai introduces them.
"Nice to meet you sir." They say.
The man gives them a friendly smile, "oh call me dad, you are my son's boyfriends right?"
"Yes!" Rain says enthusiastically.
"No." Sky mumbles at the same time.
"Losing your charm are you son?" Pakin says, shouting with laughter and clapping Pai on the back. He tells Sky, "Good for you, you can do much better than this scoundrel."
