The Exchange

It was now lunch at Incheon, it's almost like the movies you have the band kids at one table, cheerleaders and jocks at another and more social groups taking their spots in the cafeteria. Kang Taehyun moved to Seoul after living in Singapore for a few years as a transfer student. He got into Incheon High after his audition wowed all of the music teachers. He stood with his lunch bag in hand glancing around at all the people wondering where the hell to even sit. Thankfully Soobin came to save the day "hey Taehyun, my table has a seat open so come sit with us" He said giving him a bright smile. Taehyun smiled softly and nodded glad he was able to meet such a nice person on his first day. Once they sat down all of Soobin's friends introduced themselves even the infamous Kai that he heard about earlier that day. Huening Kai is under the music department as well, since he can play the drums, piano, guitar and the flute. He learned how to play all of these instruments back when he lived in America as a child. He usually helps play instrumentals for singers, plays and more. Kai is basically known has Incheon High's little brother he is the youngest in the senior class because he was able to skip a few grade levels. As well as his personality and obsession with stuffed animals led to everyone basically falling in love with him.

With a fake tardy pass in hand, Yeonjun blasts music in his headphones as he made his way into his 5th block class. Once he walked in he handed the pass to the teacher and was told to sit with his partner by the window in the back. Fate must have it out for Yeonjun, his partner was Soobin. Yeonjun sighed as he sat next to him rolling his eyes when the male shifted his seat farther away from him. Soobin loved high school movies but he didn't ask for his life to become one, the past three years of high school were going just fine he didn't need this delinquent to ruin this final year for him.

"Alright class, I am Mrs. Park and I will be your Chemistry 2 teacher this year." An older woman smiled as she pulled up a presentation. "So let's cut to the chase, your partners were assigned randomly and before you ask no you will not get a chance to change them this year. You kids need to learn how to work with people that have different ideals to you, or just people you don't like. Now your first assignment in my class is the both of you are required to create a mini presentation about your partner." She tried to continued but was interrupted at the groans that she heard "Oh relax, it isn't hard, all you have to do is include pictures, a little bit about their life and what they do outside of school, well I don't want to take up all your time. So you guys may begin learning about each other and grow some chemistry." She said giggling to her pun and sat down at her desk.

Soobin slammed his head on the table, he didn't want to know anything about Yeonjun. Also how the fuck is he supposed to make a presentation about him when half the shit he does is illegal. Soobin soon sat up and ran his hands through his raven locks "he will not ruin your senior year, he will not ruin your senior year, he will not ruin your senior year " he repeated in his head. "So uhm..is there anything you could tell me that isn't going to get me in trouble on this presentation?"Soobin asked as Yeonjun laughed in his face "oh Choi...I don't share this type of information without a deal." He hummed smirking "how about this... I tell you all the good stuff you need for this little presentation you will give me half off at your mom's store?" Soobin's eyes widened as he shook his head "oh no, I can'-" Yeonjun interrupts "well I guess you're going to have to take a zero for this assignment. That would be bad wouldn't it? mr student body president with a zero on the first day of school..think about tha-" Yeonjun clicked his tongue, Soobin impusively agreed "Fine! You'll get half off, now hurry up and tell me so I can write this down."

The school bell rung and Soobin sighed knowing he was probably going to have to see Yeonjun a third time in one day. He's gonna need therapy if he keeps seeing Yeonjun. Speak of the devil...he hears a reviving engine as he waited for Kai, turning to see Yeonjun in his car smirking. Soobin already knew the male was thinking about their deal, he gripped the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Hyungggg" Kai said happily skipping over to the older, Soobin smiled as he watched Yeonjuns car speed off shaking his head. As the two of them began to walk to the bus stop so they would be taken into the city to their jobs.

Soobin loved working for his mom's shop, it was a connivence store with a restaurant next to it owned by his step father Minhyuk. Kai and Soobin soon get into their uniforms as Kai flipped the switch for the open sign to light up and began to restock their popular items. Soobin hummed as he connected his phone to the speakers playing popular songs, greeting the usually customers which were mostly groups of high school students coming in for snacks/drinks for their study sessions. This was another reason that made people like Soobin, this store was nice and affordable it also helped that his mom was very hot. "Soobin, hey man" a boy around the same age waved as he goes to an isle to grab his usually snacks while his friends followed behind. Soobin smiled at the chime of the door opening and seeing one of the boys he went to school with "hey Felix!!" Once the male finished grabbing the things he needed he placed it on the counter, letting Soobin scan everything "I know its early as hell but Soyeon is thinking about throwing a party at her house after homecoming and I wanna see you out there." Soobin stopped bagging his items and frowned "Felix you know parties aren't really my thing...I don't think I wanna go to this one" he said softly as he started to add the total of the cost on the cash register. "Commeee on Bin pleaseee, you promised me you would go to at least one party." He begged with puppy dog eyes as he placed his card in the machine. Soobin couldn't help but feel bad because he didn't want to break a promise so he nodded "okay I'll go" he said gently smiling as he heard the male cheer, repeating about how he is the best before he left the store. Soobin huffed as he felt a pit in his stomach and the party wasn't even set in stone yet.

After hearing many chimes and helping multiple customers, there was still no Yeonjun. But before he could let out the sigh of relief he saw the male walked into the store. Soobin was rethinking his life decisions, did thinking about Yeonjun somehow summon the other to appear. Yeonjun felt the others eyes on him and waved sticking up his middle finger up as he goes around the store to look at what was in stock. Kai made his way next to the other "what is this guy doing here?" He said frowning, as he knows the two didn't get along at all. Before Soobin could answer, Yeonjun came up with a pack of beer and soju. Kai's eyes widened at how reckless Yeonjun truly was, thinking how and why would Yeonjun need this. Soobin sighed as he bit his lip going to scan it but he felt the younger pull his sweater "I can't sell this to you I know you're not an adult. Yeonjun cursed under his breath "look Choi I didn't tell you about my life for you not to make up your side of the deal. So fucking scan these drinks so I can go home." He stated frustrated, Soobin listened hearing a slight plead in the males voice so he scanned the packages putting a half off coupon. After paying the male quickly made his way out of the store.

"Hyung why would do that?" Kai asked with a pout smacking his arm gently, Soobin watched Yeonjun basically run out of the store "I....I don't know, I just felt like I had to" he said softly.
