I left the cafeteria angrily and headed to the library. Just because she's my best friend that doesn't mean she should tell me what i should do and not do; i muttered as i entered the library. I saw Naomi sitting on my favorite chair and i went to sit beside her.
What are you doing here? I asked.
I came here to read; she said as she brought out a book titled: CURSE OF THE SHADOWS by Authoress Vehrah.
Wow! You love this story too? I asked getting excited already.
Yes of course. It's really scary and that's what i love; she said and i smiled.
Let's read it please; i said and she nodded. We started reading and i was getting a bit scared. It reached a side when they slaughtered someone's neck and i shrieked. She looked at me and we began laughing.
So this is where you are Ivy? With Naomi? A voice i know very well said behind me and i turned to look at her.
So? What is it to you? Naomi asked.
I didn't ask you. I was talking to Ivy; Anna said obviously furious.
Anna. It's not what you think okay. I came to the library to study and she came to meet me to teach her some things and then we began chatting and laughing; i said and she sighed.
Okay! She said and glared at Naomi before leaving. I looked at Anna as she left and i sighed. I stood up and carried my books.
Naomi! I'll be going now. Bye; i said and rushed out without waiting for her reply. I searched every class for Anna but I didn't find her. I went to the restroom but she wasn't there. I sighed and rested my back on the wall with my eyes closed.
Where are you Anna? I asked no one in particular.
Why don't you check the rooftop; someone said and i opened my eyes and stood up straight but i didn't find anyone there. I sighed and went to the rooftop. I opened the door and came in. Anna  looked up to see me there and she got up.
Anna! I called.
I know that what i said was wrong. I know I didn't have the right to tell you what to do and am really sorry. I'm sorry for saying that, i was just too angry but you didn't have to replace me with her; she said letting the tears flow freely.
I'm sorry too. I didn't mean what i said by saying I'll leave you. You're my one and only best friend and i love you so much. It's just that i was angry because of what you said and that's why i said those things. But the truth is, i don't want to replace you and i wouldn't even think of that; i said as i came closer to her.
You promise you won't replace me no matter what? She asked
I promise; i said and she pulled me into a hug.
I love you so much; she said.
I love you too; i said and we stayed like that for a while before breaking the hug. We wiped each other's tears and she smiled at me. The bell rang for break over and she looked at me.
Let's go? I asked.
Sure; she said and we both went downstairs with her arm around my shoulders. We entered the class and went to our different seats. I turned to look at Arnaldo who was looking outside the window. I sighed and faced the teacher who was explaining some stuffs which i jotted down. Soon the bell rang for closing and everyone left the school.
Bye Ivy; she said.
Bye; i said and we entered our different cars and drove off. I was still driving when i sighted Arnaldo. I stopped my car beside the road at stared at him. He's car broke down and he was trying to fix it. It's late in the night, why don't he call a mechanic to fix it? I asked no one in particular. He groaned when he couldn't fix it and kicked the car angrily. I got down from my car and went towards him.
Arnaldo! I called and he looked at me. I gasped because of how he looked like.

When Ivy left, i also left the cafeteria and headed to the restroom. I was about entering when i heard something.
Please forgive me. I was really busy yesterday that's why i couldn't do your assignments; a voice begged.
And do i care? You are supposed to do my assignment but you failed to do it and yet you're giving me stupid excuses; another voice said.
I think we need to teach him a lesson; another guy said and I entered and saw a guy raising his belt to hit someone and i rushed and collected it.
Who the hell are you? He asked.
Why do you want to hurt him? I asked.
It's none of your business so stay out of this; another guy said.
And what if i don't? I asked.
Then you'll be our next target so stay out of this now that you've got the chance; he said.
No way! I said.
Alright boys! Deal with him; he said and the two boys rushed towards me. One tried to punch me but i caught his hand and knee him in the stomach as he fell to the ground. The other guy came to me and punched me in the stomach then knee me in the face and i fell on my knees with blood dripping from my mouth. One of them dragged me up by the hair and i kicked him the stomach making him fall to the ground releasing me. I brought a toy gun which looked a little bit real and pointed it at him.
Leave or else I'll shoot; i said and they looked at each other before running off. I dropped the gun and fell to the ground coughing.
Are you okay? The guy who was being bullied asked.
Yes i am; i said.
Thanks for helping me and I'm sorry you got hurt because of me; he said.
No it's not your fault but you need to stand up for yourself okay? I said.
Okay. My name is Dexter what of you? He said and asked.
Arnaldo! Nice to meet you; i said and we both shook hands before letting go.
So can we be friends; he asked.
Of course. Let's go; i said and got up. We both left the restroom and i headed to the infirmary. I saw Ivy resting on the wall with her eyes closed.
Where are you Anna? She asked no one in particular.
Why don't you check the rooftop; i said and walked away. The bell rang for break over and we headed to our class. I sat on my chair and faced the window. The rest of the students entered and Ivy sat on the chair. I could feel her gaze on me and I was hoping she wouldn't talk to me and she didn't. I sighed inwardly and then the bell rang for closing. I waited for everyone to leave before leaving. I saw Ivy talking to Anna and i quickly walked pass her heading to my car. I ignited the engine and began driving. Soon the car made some noise and it stopped working. I ignited the engine but the car did not start. I groaned and came down. I tried calling the mechanic but he didn't pick. I sighed and opened the front of the car and saw that the engine was roasted. I tried some few things but it still didn't start. I groaned and kicked the car.
Arnaldo! A voice called and i turned to look at Ivy and she gasped.
What happened to you? She asked as she came close to me.
Nothing; i said and looked away. She grabbed my chin and turned me to face her and our face were really close.
Does it still hurt? She asked and i removed her hand from my chin.
No! I replied. She touched one of my injuries.
Ouch! I said and she smiled.
I thought you said you weren't hurt; she asked and i looked away.
So why are you here? I asked.
Well i saw that your car broke down so i came to help. Why don't i drive you home then tomorrow you'll call a mechanic; she said and i looked at her.
No! I said.
But you helped me and i want to say thank you by doing this; she said.
What did i help you with? I asked.
You told me where i could find Anna; she said.
How did you know? I asked.
I just know. Just let me take you home; she said.
Fine! I said and walked to the driver's seat of her car and sat there. She came to the driver's seat and opened the door.
What are you doing here? I'm supposed to drive you home; she said.
No I'll be the one driving; i said and she pouted.
I want to be the one to drive please; she said with pouted lips and i was tempted to kiss those lips but I restrained myself. I got up and went to the other sit at the front and sat down. She entered the driver's seat and buckled her seat belt.
Thanks! She said and ignited the engine before driving off. I turned to stare at her and i must admit, she's truly beautiful. I told her the directions to my house and in no time we arrived. I got down and she also came down and i stared at her.
Thanks! I said and turned to go.
Wait! she said and i turned to look at her and she ran and hugged me.
Please take care of yourself; she said and i found myself hugging her back. We stayed like that for a while before she broke the hug. I smiled at her and she entered her car and smiled at me before driving off. I went inside and saw no one. I didn't feel like eating so i just went upstairs to my room and went to have a shower. I brushed my teeth and wore a black shirt with a blue short and i climbed my bed. I used the duvet to cover myself and i smiled remembering how i hugged Ivy as i drifted to sleep.
