Flashback (the night of there date) third persons pov -
Chae won was making her way towards the bus stop when she saw chanhee setting on a bench on the side walks.
He looked.............stressed?? Without thinking she approached him "chanhee?? what happened??" She asked softly.
"Oh! Chae won" he said his eyes were blood shot indicating he had been crying.
She took a seat beside him and asked softly "what are you doing here?? What happened, were you crying??" After waiting for sometime she was only met with silence.
Heaving a sigh she spoke again "you know you can tell me anything right?? I'm your friend I'm always here for you chanhee I'll not tell anyone what i saw today if you want me to"
"It's........a friend of mine we are best friends from our childhood till now he's like my own brother but today we had a fight, i was at fault though"
"He was not getting good grades so he had came to ask for help but i took him lightly and just kept taunting him and joking about his failures rather than actually helping him"
"And later i came too know he was going through a lot, he was in depression at one point and i never knew, I'm such a bad friend"
After sometime she spoke choosing her words wisely to make him understand what she was trying to convey "there's no such thing called bad friend chanhee, it was not your fault sometimes we fail to see somethings we are supposed to but it's never too late if you know how to fix it"
"Just like there's no sun at night there's no such thing as bad friend chanhee, of course there are fake friends but not bad you shouldn't be blaming yourself instead you should think about how to fix this"
He sighed she spoke "you know friends are like our family in the outer world, just like we laugh, cry, worry together for each other in a family......."
"Similarly we laugh, cry and worry together for each other as friends the difference is just that they are not blood related to us, but does it even matters if you are biologically related to someone or not if you care for them the same way you do for your family??"
"And these misunderstandings they keep happening in a family right, we fight we get angry on each other we apologize and then we make up, just like that you fought with your friend and you realised that it's your fault, then what is the next step now chanhee??"
"Ap-apologize...?" he said
"That's right and then you make up it's easy right, you see I'm friends with Na-rae and Seo-young for as long as I can remember and then Han, changbin and lee know came along, heck i even hated lino to death, but even then we stick together always" she smiled remembering a silly memory of them.
"Every friendships has problems all friends have fights and that's what makes their bond more stronger, if we keep having happiness always we'll start taking it for granted, but when there are fights it makes us grateful for what we have now, grateful for having them in our life, it let's us know their value in our life"
"You know we fought a lot back in the days even now, once there was this big fight between me and the girls and we didn't talk for about 3 days and in those days i realised that, just like i can't live without my parents since they are my only family the same way i couldn't live without them they were a part of my life now....."
"Like a addiction a bad habit but i never regretted befriending them, do you regret befriending that friend of yours chanhee"
"NO NEVER" he answered immediately.
"There is your answer chanhee, you answered without even thinking that is just how much sure you are that he's your family so go and make up with him already" she smiled.
"I'll talk to him tomorrow, will you accompany me?? I just need a lil support i guess" he said rubbing the back of his head
"But why are you here by the way" chanhee asked.
Chae won's smile dropped "you see i was on a date with lee know but......"
After she had explained everything chanhee spoke "how about this let's take tomorrow off we can go to meet my friend first, then we plan a nice confession for you together, since you helped me let me repay you"
"That's a great idea chanhee let's do that thanks for helping you are really the best" she said putting her thumb up.
"Friends??" Chanhee asked moving his hands forward for a handshake.
"Best friends" she said and shaked his hand with a smile.
"We are buddies from now on then" chanhee said
"Best buddies you are my brother from now on bro" she added to him statement.
"And you are my little princess, yoo lil sis" he teased
"Who said I'm younger than you" they started a teasing game, then chanhee spoke
"Let's go to the nearest PC and do some research online for your confession and then we can go to my place and get freshen up since it's closer u can rest in the guest room it's vacant anyways and go to my friend tomorrow, if you don't mind that is" chanhee suggested
"Don't worry i live with my parents as well they will be home and you can borrow some of my mom's clothes"
"You know she loves shopping and she had brought many clothes online many of them being smaller than her size, she was thinking what to do with them, you can see which one fits you" chanhee kept talking about him family.
"You are a very nice person chanhee" she suddenly blurted
"What makes you think that??" he chuckled
"The way you talk about your family your friends your eyes give it all away you love and adore them a lot, not everyone can get a friend like you I'm so lucky" she said
He chuckled and asked "so that means you are coming right??"
"Yeah, that works with me" she said
"Angel" chanhee looked at her in confusion.
"Can I call you angel" he chuckled and nodded and started walking.
"Angel" she called from behind.
He turned around "today is a secret just between us, okay" she said smiling.
"Yes, secret" he said smiling at her and putting his index finger on his lips.
