"Spence, why didn't your parents take you to New York with your sister?" Hanna inquired finding it unfair on Spencer's behalf. "I mean, you deserve some retail therapy too." Spencer has no outward reaction and simply says "not as much as Mellissa." Their attention is quickly drawn to Emily who approaches wearing a scarf none of them have seen before. "Ooh, hot scarf, Em." The shy girl blushes slightly thanking them, and surprisingly saying no when Hanna asks if it's new. Sofia side eyes her slightly, not believing the rosy cheeked girl but doesn't question it.

The girls are silenced when Hanna's phone starts ringing and the girl looks around at all of them socked, Aria urges her "go ahead, answer it. We know who it can't be from." Hanna still doesn't make a move to answer, Emily calling the girls name in confusion. "It's my dad." She breathes a giddy laugh "hey, dad." The girls concerned eyes follow her and Emily addresses the situation, asking "has she even talked to her dad since he walked out on them?"

Spencer answers, eyes still on Hanna, "I don't know. Hanna and her father- it's one of those don't ask, don't tell situations." Aria capture their attention and says "we shouldn't stare, come on." The petite girl doesn't get far before she's interrupted by a notification, she scoffs "my brother's post just showed up on my loop." Spencer mocks the girl for adding him as a favourite, Aria merely claims it was a moment of weakness.

Emily and Sofia fell behind a little, still concerned for Hanna, this lead to them bumping into an unawares Toby. An uncomfortable Emily apologises "my fault." Sofia shares a look with Toby and both smile awkwardly at each other as acknowledgement. The two girls swiftly move over to their friends and continue walking. "I wonder if we just bumped into "A"" Aria theorises unkindly, looking between all of them. Spencer dismisses the thought "it doesn't matter, we're done with A right."

"Right, yeah. But I'm still staying out of Toby's way." The wary brunette states, Spencer and Emily agreeing that would be safe and the best course to take. Sofia stays silent, she personally couldn't imagine Toby being A. And considering A terrorises them remotely, how exactly is avoiding people going to make a difference? Sofia pauses as she receives a text from her aunt Lizzie asking her to pick up some things on her way home later as she needs to stay late at work, Sofia responds saying she will and then speaks to the girls "hey, I'm gonna go grab a drink. I'll see you guys later."

They all say bye as the blonde girl departs to go search for some much needed coffee and get some space from people in a quiet area, unknowingly missing out on the awkward conversation with Hanna about her father. As she enjoys some time to herself, she gets lost in her thoughts. Thinking about everything from the girls and A, to Ali's disappearance, to Jason, and her life at the moment. Thoughts bring forward her worries about how the currently occurring drama could affect her life and the other people in it.

She's distracted by an alert coming from her phone, she's looks and sees it's a text from the very guy that barely leaves her mind. Jason DiLaurentis. Can I call you later? Sofia instantly replies of course and her heart flutters as she is filled with excitement to talk to him when she gets home. After her next class, she has a free period so she decides she'll go to the shops then and get home after to call with Jason. As if by her own will, the bell for her next class rings and she gets moving to make it on time.
