CHAPTER FIFTY SIX !

Estella laid on her stomach on her bed, a drawing pad out in front of her along with some coloured pens as she drew some more flowers for all the walkers she'd killed that day. there was now one hundred and twelve flowers in the book. all of them were coloured in either pink, blue, or a pastel orange.

she felt extremely bad for what she said to carol, but she couldn't bring herself to apologise. she knew she was wrong. what she said to carol was horrible. it was so wrong, and she felt disgusting about it. it wasn't carol's fault that sophia was dead.

hell, estella never even met sophia and she still spat it as an insult in her face. she knew she would be in so much trouble because of it, and she deserved it. she knew she deserved it. it wouldn't surprise estella if carol never spoke to her again.

her bedroom door opened a couple of minutes later, revealing none other than glenn. estella just shut her book and got up off her stomach, sitting up against the headboard as she looked at him.

"is carol okay?" estella asked, sheepishly.

"she didn't say much, she shrugged us off and went back to her house." glenn told her, truthfully.

"i really took it too far this time, didn't i?" estella frowned.

"maybe so. you're clearly going through something, though. what is it? what's affecting you?" he asked, sitting down.

"what isn't affecting anybody?" estella asked back.

glenn just let out a small sigh. "i know. i understand you."

"is daryl back yet?" she asked.

"not yet. i do suggest, though, that when he does come back, you speak to him properly. like you used to." he replied.

"everybody keeps saying that stuff to me. 'like you used to.' but nothing is how it used to be. nobody is like how they used to be, so why is it a problem when i change? i've grown up, glenn."

"i'm not saying that. i'm saying that the person you're being right now, isn't really you. you're hurt by something, i get that. you've been through way too much for your age, but that's not our fault. it's not daryl's fault, or mine, or carol's." glenn told her.

"i know. i just feel... angry." she admitted, quietly.

"angry at what?" he asked.
