Julia Estrada grew up in Miami, Florida. She is of Cuban and Guatemalan descent. Her mother was a stay at home mom while her dad was a chef and owned high end restaurants. She has one older sister. Her older cousin is Oscar Isaac.
Julia moved to New York City at the age of 18 and graduated with a BA in broadcast journalism from NYFA. She graduated a year early hoping to get a job in journalism. However, to fund her time in NYC she modeled and found her way into high fashion modeling. By the time she was 20 she was traveling between NY and CA for photo shoots for various designers, attending fashion week in NY and Paris, and slowly getting small TV roles. She somehow managed to snake herself into the Hollywood limelight. By the time she was 25 she owned her own condo in NYC and a home in the luxurious Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. Her parents moved to LA, as her dad owned a restaurant called El Compadre.
In 2018 she began dating actor Diego Luna. She became pregnant within 6 months of dating and they both welcomed their first child together in 2019. Lucia Ana Luna-Alexander
She was perfect in every way. A perfect mix of Julia and Diego. However, they're relationship was far from perfect. They decided it would be better to be friends, to be better parents to Lucia meant to be separated but still close. Co-parenting with Diego was a dream. He was an amazing father, as he already had two children from a previous relationship. The only downside was that Diego lived in Mexico. Lucia lived with you for her first year but it was agreed that in 2021 she would spend the first 6mo of the year with Diego and the last 6mo with Julia.
