Inferna laid her blades and blaster next to her as some of the Wreckers lit some scrap metal ablaze.

She nestled down by the fire, enjoying its warmth. Her optics felt heavy but she couldn't close them just yet. Yellow fluid tricked down, but Inferna quickly wiped it away before anyone could see. 'Why am I even crying?!'

She pulled out her datapad, messaging Firewar.

Inferna:

Are you still alive?

A few kliks later-

Flamewar:

Yep. How about you?

Inferna:

Just barely.

Flamewar:

What's wrong? Did something happen?

Inferna's digits hover over the letters, shaking slightly.

Inferna:

No nothing's wrong. I just wanted to check in on you.

Flamewar:

Oh, I'm alright. I'm more worried about you though- going out into the most dangerous parts of Cybertron.

Inferna:

I'll pull through. How is the city holding up?

Flamewar:

Same old. Decepticons attack it every cycle but our defenses are holding. For now, at least.

Inferna:

Good to hear.

Flamewar:

Hey, we should meet up face-to-face sometime soon- if you're in the area that is.

Inferna:

I'm not really close by, but I think I can easily get there. I'll have to go when we don't have a bunch of missions though.

Flamewar:

Ok, let me know when you're free. Make sure not to get scraped till then, 'Ferna.
